I've just come back from Malta for the first time & absolutely loved it. Everyone we met was so friendly & welcoming. Everywhere looked clean. Loved exploring the island by bus using the 7 day unlimited pass.

I might go back to my GP and say ‘if it’s good enough for Englishman…!!’ To help with camera exposure/over-exposed background, you could try hanging a white sheet in front of you to reflect the light back onto your face.

I want Hoola Hoops now and we can’t get them in Australia. I’ll have to wait till I visit England in September. I hope they still do salt and vinegar. Next year I’m going to fly to the UK via Malta. About fish and chips Steve - a place in St Paul's Bay was recommended to me when I was staying nearby two or three years ago. It's called 'Fish & Gills' on Mosta Road at the top of Triq Toni Bajada. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area - or have you been there before? Hope your leg gets sorted quickly and painlessly!

Don't worry, Steve. You definitely need to remove basal cell skin cancers, but they are NOT melanoma. (I'm not a doctor, lol). My husband and I have both had a few of these and had them removed. Husband's were deeper, so he had to have the MOHS surgery with a plastic surgeon. So, we each just make sure to have an all over skin check with the dermatologist every year (or 6 months sometimes, in my husband's case) to keep up with it. These are caused by sunburns we had as children and young adults, when sunblock didn't exist. So, you'll probably will have more and a skin check takes the worry out.
