When they dropped off a foster child to my sister, she was 18 months old. They gave the clothes on her back, one sneaker (they couldn't find the other one) and four pampers. It really does take a village. She is now five and her adoption is hopefully this month.

That's very sad and generally it's not always the parents fault. It's usually the social worker on the government that try to rush everything and run in there. They do that sometimes when moving them from foster home to foster home. We have too few CPS workers that are caring

If I remember correctly it was Anthony that said let’s help a teenager in foster care and open our home to one. And that is how Zay came to their home. God bless

You are correct! As you heard in the video, Zay vividly remembers the family he was uprooted from with little to no notice after establishing some sense of stability. Peter's patience and unconditional love eventually won Zay over. Look at Zay now! 👍

Zay's stories feel so raw. His testimony of what happens to kids in the fostercare system just tugs my heart. Thank you, Zay, for sharing and helping. We are happy you found Peter who helped you find your strength and hope in your future. Wishing you and Maddy the best! May God continue to bless you all! ❤

That’s so horrible, as of these children aren’t going through enough. Then they take away the things they hold dear to their hearts. Could be a teddy bear, a book something that brings them a little comfort or hope. That needs to change, that thought make me not just sad but angry at the same time.

Wow I just saw Zay and his girlfriend and said oh cool you’re foster son still comes back but he’s not your biological son. Then I realized I just see you and the children you adopted as a family and yes I know Zay is too. My point is love doesn’t know boundaries. You are an inspiration , I was a foster parent but family issues made that impossible to continue 10 years ago. But in the next couple of years I would love to become a foster mother of teenagers. Other than being a grandma , I think I’m much more suited for teen boys as I raised 4 of my own. I just want to thank you and your family for giving me hope again .

🦋 Did I miss something? Are Zay and Maddie living back at home with you now? That was a beautiful makeover. It’s not just the things that you put in there and they are beautiful and useful but it’s the fact that the room is now organized for them that they have a place for everything so they can keep their room nice and tidy and clean and it’ll feel good for them to walk into it and have it looking that way. Much love and many blessings for you to be able to do that for them

12 TIMES IN A YEAR!!! Why? I would give anything if our health was good enough to do it again. we are in a four-bedroom house with only the two of us and two grandsons but age and health now make it impossible. I will admit it's the one thing in life I miss the most. Are the girl's biological siblings? It is so sad to see they never reunite with families but in some cases, I understand their lives would be so horrible if they did. Was the baby a foster child also? The mom is so wonderful to do this for children. it takes a special heart to Foster.

Beautiful job. The only thing I think would've made it better would be to have some kind of artwork over their beds with their names on it to make them feel even more that they belonged and this is their home forever. Just a thought. Little girls like that sort of stuff.

Hi Habi, you are so right… a group of siblings can be challenging to place, but even more challenging to be adopted together. When Covid came throughout this world, not too long ago, it took away so many people, including a friend from my little town. She had adopted 5 siblings from DHS just 2 years before. I had just become certified as foster parent just 4 months before she died. Slowly this children came into my life and home… giving up the master bedroom was easy for me, sleeping in the basement is no sacrifice… compared to the privilege to keep this 5 together and all the love we multiply in this house. I was told that no other family in the whole state of Oklahoma was willing and able to take all 5, so God nudged at my heart. Being a single mom is very hard but rewarding. Last May they were adopted into my family, is not always easy but the best thing I’ve ever done. A mom can multiply love with ease. (A heart of each of my children) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️
