Dude I’ve been bingeing your videos of weeks now. I’m in San Diego and grew up playing The Farms through my dad (retired head pro)… I NEED to get a lesson with you Adam. The way you teach is so simple and easy to comprehend. Really appreciate you putting these clips out to the public and helping us all along the journey

I’ve been going through your back catalog of videos and trying bits out at the range. Keeping things in front of my body at takeaway and at the top has probably done more to improve my quality of strike and it’s reliability than any in person lesson I’ve ever taken. It baffles me why the instructors that I’ve had lessons with haven’t touched on it.

Simple, honest, and effective theory, and never drops so many swing thoughts in a lesson that you need a shrink immediately after to sort it out. If that isn’t enough, you also get a pretty 🔥 robot 🤖🕺 laid down around @2:22 Well done, brother 😎

I have been working on the Porzak principles with some good success but also a little frustration where I hit great shots before forgetting something or not realising that I had let something slip and regressing to old habits next time out. The key idea here for me is the right elbow doesn’t squeeze in tight ! Whenever I revisit PG I see the solution and can’t wait to get back out there as I know this stuff does it fir me every time 👍👏

Game changer for me. After watching Porzak's videos on setup (hip bump), grip, and stance I was feeling ok but still lacked connection with my body. This video brought it together and I see how I am supposed to get in the correct position. Still struggling a bit with transitioning down (much weaker hits, but accurate) so those are the next videos!. Thank you for detail explanation and examples.

Seriously he is the best teacher on youtube. No comparison in teaching. One day I will get a lesson. Just keep doing what your doing, you have to get a lot of satisfaction teaching the young players. Some are just amazing. Your swing reminds me of Anthony Kims and Adam Scott had a baby golf swing! Keep it up!!!!!!

Love the visuals of the disconnect. For me coming in as a beginner, you see a lot of the pros really reaching back and have the toe of the club pointing at the target. Which I believe where a lot of the misconception comes when individuals attempt to do that including myself. I think having that connection with the chest is the most important lesson I've taken from your videos. Feeling like I am only using my core to turn and my arms are just a solid structure.

Very good stuff. I do think it can be a challenge to remember to keep the arms soft but close, since the fast-twitch muscle action can tempt the player to get too tight when the arms stay close. I like the set-then-pop drill as well.

Another fantastic video. Great swing from the young man. Adam, can I ask how he would progress in his swing to take a more noticeable divot after the ball. It seems he strikes it a little ‘thin’ compared to some of your other players, with little turf interaction after the ball. I’m a picker too so would love your thoughts on getting the feel of more turf interaction.

Adam, What is your position regarding the exhausting oxygen from your diaphragm,before making your swing.?. I have brought this into my game 1.Ifeel relaxed just before my swing. 2. Youare not fighting the diaphragm, so you get extra club speed through the swing and shot.Iam I right. It feels good.Gary Trethewey Nz.

Incredible stuff as always. Great explanation of the takeaway and back swing. Especially what to do with the right arm at set up. It looks like you are holding your wrist position until very late in the follow through. Is that right ?

When going into the Set Position, we maintain that position with minimal tension in the hands then we are able to rotate with the lead hip going straight back.

@@PorzakGolf So kind of the dead hands feeling you speak about in other videos and the wrists stay pretty set without consciously trying to hold them like that? They eventually just naturally release very late near the very end of the follow through ?

Hey Adam quick question.... regarding keeping hands in front of the chest at completion of the back swing: do you feel ( or is it a feeling) of the inside of the right wrist is mostly facing our target / feet line? From the front view it looks as though the inside of your right wrist is facing towards the camera... ?

Could you please talk about the "release" in conjunction with the "body rotation" on the through swing? Thank you.
@maeu59
@maeu59 Жыл бұрын
Yes I’m looking through the videos and I’m not seeing anything detailed on the hand release, or "cracking the whip”everything is pretty much about body rotation, what are the hand’s doing through impact? Isn’t most speed created with the hands? The body can only turn so fast.

Does the right elbow needs to be connected to the bottom of ribcage as club travels to the top of the back swing? There is a disconnect when the hands are at waist-high. What about the left elbow? I assume at some point there is a disconnect of the left elbow but left bicep/tricep is closely connected to the side of the left breast for a right hander?
@PorzakGolf
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
There should be space between the trail elbow and the rib cage. If we hold our elbow against the side of our body, our swing will be restricted 🚫. A drill that we like to do is put a head cover in the front of the right arm pit. This will create more connection with the arms and elbows in front of our body. Let us know if you have further questions! Thank you!
