My washing machine is broke and the repair man will not fix it for 3 weeks I was told by them there is not enough people who know how to do this type of job which is fix washing machines and dryers so I will have to hand wash and will have to hand twist the water out of the clothing before dry these outside or in the cellar or even in the bathroom on a rack . I am happy to see that you can actually hang your clothes outside in Winter to dry and that it actually will work i have to try that . I also wash my items when I don't have a washing machine available in a 5-gallon bucket and large bucket in my tub or I use a large ice bucket from Lowe's hardware store that I purchased . I also use a mini washing machine that I purchased from Temu for $17.00 I use that one for my underwears bras and socks which makes it much easier. It is extremely hard to twist as much water out of your clothes by hand you can purchase a very expensive tool but I cannot afford that. Twist by hand as much as you can the water out of your clothing hang drip it outside or in your tub works for me. Really loved watching these types of DIY survival skills that we all need because sooner or later we will not have the people to fix any of our technology especially when the schools are not teaching our children anything that is truly needed to survive . We need people to fix our electronic item. We need people to fix our cars. We need doctors and nurse. We need people to be dentist . We need farmers to grow our food and to raise farm animals for are needed. America is running out of people who know what they are actually doing. God bless America and each and every one.

I agree. I'm gathering people like this to make this country better. Would you help me in my endeavors?

If you hang something with a slight fold over the clothing line, you can also go out and turn them upside down after a day or so. That way the side that was folded will get some air flowing through it too so the drying process will be more even on both sides

Thanks! I was a little scared that the sun would burn through my skin since it has been so long. But I just went for it

I watched the video " How Nordic people do the laundry" by Jonna Jinton and it's very entertaining but I was wondering how much reality based on historical practice, there is in that video, even if we assume that she doesn't have a washing machine or dryer. It's fun to watch. 😆 That's for your video regarding drying in the winter.

@@RiDankulous no worries! I may do some more on drying clothes for the summer in a month or so. Do you live in an area that has cold temperatures?

What would happen if you were to bring dry clothes or bed sheets outside, would they become very cold or would they become damp, I really don't know the difference between these two? Thanks.

If it is not overly humid they will just get really really cold :)

It’s going to depend a lot on the environment, but yes, it could easily take two days

If the weather is cold and frosy the laundry will not dry outside at all but it will smell nicer instead.

It is 30- celsius here in northern Alberta, I’m going to try drying my clothes outside today. Humidity will not be a factor, it never is in Alberta. Thank you, you have inspired me and my children.
