Jumanji is back and once again, The Rock, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black are getting back together.
All three are super charismatic, we’ve covered them in previous breakdowns, but today I thought it’d be fun to combine their strengths to talk about how you can build rock-solid confidence from the ground up, going from shy to confident.
⏰TIMESTAMPS⏰
0:25 - #1: Command attention.
4:38 - #2: Share the spotlight (turn it back on the other person).
8:13 - #3: Fully commit to your actions.

Whenever I'm nervous to introduce myself and talk to someone I always think to myself, "they're probably just as or even more nervous than me" and *believing* that I'll be leading the conversation always ends up with me *actually* leading it. When I started leading conversations I got more comfortable and secure with the people I talked to and my confidence level just kept going up.

If you're an introverted person: Play around with the volume and tone of your voice. Get more into your characters as you tell a story. Speak as if you expect to be listened to.

Are you serious?? What story man?? Shy people don't tell stories in front of a group of people...much less are they going to make strange voices for each story character...are you nuts??? You are out of your mind!! Either you don't know a shy person...or you are just saying things of the top of your head without really thinking about it.

Also in addition; not all of us can be as much a pretty boy as this guy, which he might deny it but it definitely helps😉 It's always hilarious how these social self-help gurus are also coincidentally really good-looking...I don't think I've seen an ugly one yet..... Ps: And no it's not "their confidence makes them seem attractive so that's why you think they look attractive..."; they pretty much look like they won the genetic lottery in the looks department without even considering their personality beforehand...

I love this channel so much. At first you might think It may sounds pretentious to give advices on how to improve your charisma but the way they angles their videos is so helpful. One thing that I have learned is that there’s not one type of charisma but there’s so many different types. The only goal is to find your own charisma. The one that helps you feel better being yourself.

These tips really do work. I am very shy and started doing a lot of these as a "character" 10 - 15 years ago and it wins people over (and attracts some jealousy....which is a confidence booster too). Be goofy and make others feel that they matter and you will win at life.

2:11 yeah this tip is MAJOR. I've always been a talkative guy myself, and over the years have figured out better how to make space in a dialogue for the more verbally timid people in my life to feel encouraged to speak fully also. So that's what I can do for my part. But man it would make things flow a lot easier if shy talkers would JUST FINISH THE WORDS they were saying without pumping the breaks on their speech at every little utterance from a reacting listener. The excessive politeness gets boring when we keep lurching out of a discussion into pardoning each other and politely offering "go on" "Oh I was just saying I agreed with you.." "no really you go first!" Just talk over me ffs! lol it's not rude if it's just enough to hold your own and complete thoughts.

I've noticed that the lesser you fear being rejected as if you don't have a specific reason other than to have fun and just approach people with average confidence because at the end of the day... you aren't seeking their approval for anything you are only having fun and enjoying yourself because, once you have set the tone and the vibe, your "intentions" become more clear and the the more you are likely to be "invitied" into the(ir) group simply because of the fact that you aren't looking for a seal of approval or trying too hard you only want to have a good time. Most importantly... Confidence Creator has a very good point - "Confidence is not about they will like me. It’s about I will be okay if they don’t"

It is really interesting how it varies what society appreciates or at least tolerates/sees as confident/positive based on culture/age/gender/looks. For example some of your suggestions would be viewed as attention-grabbing and bad style in many european places. Also I think some of it is only accepted in men, not in women or some gets strange/creepy when you are older.

How do you respond when people say something mean or rude to you? Specifically, What do you suggest when people are being derogatory towards you at work? What do you do if you are being blamed for something you didn't do at work? How do you respond when you are being written up at work?

Real confidence is to say "it‘s okay that i‘m the weirdo in their eyes" and to keep ist cool. Real confidence is, to Act like you want Talk about that what you want and don‘t overthink, what other people could think of you, if you reflect your inner outwards. The Main goal of a human should be to work on your character, shape it in the best way you can and the easiest way to shape it is to avoid to be to people in that way that you wouldn‘t want that somebody else would Act and talk in that way to yourself. And at the end to love and push your self, if you cannot push yourself then push others, they will push you up for gratitude. And by the way confidence can easily be pushed by different things like: - Your appearence ( if you are good looking, so work on your looking and make the best version about it) - Knowledge ( who knows more, can talks more and is trusted&listened the most by others, so go get some knowledge for example by reading ) - to be brave( braveness comes from Trust in your self in something and trust to yourself comes from experience in something and experience comes from "to do something often“ , for example if you are shy at talking to women, than talk everyday to women that you DON‘T know and everyday you get better in it because you get to know them and your inhibition threshold gets lower day by day. Kevin hart wasn‘t always so calm on Tv and by the way he isn‘t funny every time, but the thing is, he tells mostly jokes that he finds funny, so when people don‘t laugh sometimes, he doesnt get down because of it, because he doesn‘t fear to fail, failure is the most important things in the live of every confindent human, because failure Build you up, if you accept your failure and try it again next time, but in the better way. So please don‘t talk and think so superficial about confidence. Nobody have to be to liked by everyone, be your self and don‘t be someone else‘s copy. If you are loved by a few people, that‘s okay, they love you for that what you are and that should be way more precious for you. If you want be happy, be confident If you want to be confident, be positive. If you want to be positive, find your inner peace. If you want to find your inner peace, don‘t do negative or shameful things. Life is short, so it isn‘t so worthy to be shy to strangers

My problem isn't drawing attention! It's knowing when to deflect and when to lean into my awkwardness. Being super awkward in every social situation is literally my thing.

For me, who grew up painfully shy, its not about how to grab attention or get everyone to pay attention to me, it was about how to avoid all of that. So the issue I have is how to become comfortable wanting to grab the attention and not avoid it. I even find it hard to write about but, my face would turn red as a fire truck at the drop of a hat. That in itself was a very strong deterrent for me to even put myself in a situation where there was a chance I would be singled out. I would become embarrassed just because it was obvious to everyone that I was embarrassed. I always thought that if I could somehow block my face from turning red, it would allow me to at least begin to try and overcome my shyness. As I have grown older it has faded somewhat but, I have missed so much in my life because of it.

I'd need a specific exercise to speak loudly and repeat myself cause even thinking in my head I get too nervous to do that.
