Part of what makes Pepsi appealing over Coke is their food business (Lay's, Doritos, Quaker). They also own 8.5% of $CELH, if people want exposure to that without buying it directly. Pepsi is tough because I think a lot of investors will just see a forward PE around 20 and not expect to see it get much cheaper than that, so it might not go lower, but if you value it off the future cash flows and earnings growth, Paul is probably right that it's probably still expensive. Massive moat though, so people will pay a premium for that.

From a different perspective, Intel is doing far worse than they were at their peak. At that time, they were the biggest company in the world. They were the most innovative company in the most impactful sector in the world. Now, they have fallen behind significantly, and they are changing their model up to concentrate on foundry services. That requires vast outlays of cash. Their FCF is bound to suffer during this “turnaround”, even with billions in taxpayer money. I reduced my long position by 70% and see no compelling reason to DCA yet. With massive capex, it is unlikely their balance sheet will look better soon. They have made awful decisions, allowing several companies to surpass them without a fight. We have no idea whether their management team can actually accomplish what shareholders are hoping for. It seems like it will be stagnant for year, and I hate stagnant money. I’m mad I didn’t sell all of my shares in the upper 40s.

how do you feel about HTZ, RIVN, or LAZR? i do not see them going anywhere in the next 7-10 years, and all three stocks are selling at or around all time lows. just wanted to hear your 2 cents about those stocks, and if you would ever consider adding them to your portfolio.

The problem with just buying stuff at or near 52 week lows and hoping for a turnaround is you never when they will turn around. Stocks can sit down there for years like T and MMM. Trying to buy stuff at lows when ignoring other sectors that are ripping will not get you the gains to beat the market.

Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to Sonia campbell

I discovered that Monster was actually a stock recently and was amazed at their metrics... and even moreso at how cheap the stock was. Bought it instantly, I know this brand for a long time now and they're almost everywhere I look. Sponsoring great stuff too. Pepsi is a strong brand but I think they have a problem with cost management, the only thing that grew their revenue was increasing prices.

People are into health more than ever, healthy eating and exercise. Soda and Monster have a lot of sugar, which people seek to avoid. Diet drinks are also not healthy because all of the artificial sweeteners they contain also affect blood sugar. Of course, in spite of all the healthy people, America is still a nation full of obese people that love their sugary drinks. So these companies will certainly survive.
