Hey guys here's 3 tips of how I get the best video out of my Olympus E-m1 Mark II. This applies to your Olympus E-M1 Mark III, Olympus E-M1X, and Olympus E-M5 Mark III as well! Thanks for this. I have shot everything in C4K and mostly used flat profile. It has worked for me, but especially the tip about using a normal profile and tweak that is something I will try. Get well soon!

Cheers for the tips, I have owned the EM1 Mk2 for a few years and it's still doing a great job for video. I tend to use HD SF at 60fps and then upscale it to 4k. I have used C4k and 4k and it produces superb quality. Thanks again 👍🏻

I have not tried OM log yet just because all the color grading sounds like a lot of work. It does result in beautiful video footage just a lot more work and more HD space. Good points.

Yea, I’m all about simplifying my life! There’s definitely use cases for it but for simple talking head videos it’s not it for sure!

Thank you for this video, I have a em 1 m ii and I'm using in video production with c af always lost,at time camera moving to the subject my firmware is 3.0

It might also be the Focusing Area selected. If you have a larger area then the subject can move around the area and the camera can follow. But if you only have the center selected then if the subject is not in the center the camera will not follow. This could possibly be a reason for it not working as well.

Good tips about the profile. I thought the sharpness was removed if I shoot flat.

I thought that too but after seeing so much footage I definitely see that sharpness in FLAT and LOG profiles! Thank you much Martin for watching!

Hey thanks for watching. MENU > Video Menu (Movie Camera Symbol) > Specification Settings > Picture Mode (ON for LOG and FLAT) (OFF for Natural and other PHOTO profiles)
