This is really well done for a beginner tutorial. Would love to see more in this series with even more advanced examples. Also, tell Sony to add intervalometer functionality and extend beyond 30 second shutter speeds so we can play more easily with astrophotography. 🌌

It really covers just the very basics. Would be great to see in-depth review with all the controls properly explained. Even in form of a text manual. BTW, "wowxperia" link attached to the description seems to be broken (contains some suspiciously encoded characters, as it seems).

Having used DSLR’s / Canon and Nikon along with Sony A6000 this type of phone is right up my alley my only concern is the connectivity here in the US with AT&T since it is primarily focused around GSM. The “1” sensor camera would be stellar for some Milkyway shots and long exposure on the waterfalls, but I am curious how many stops down the FStop is with the Zeiss lens?

I don't know if i'm wrong but it seems when switching to the 85-125mm zoom lens,you lose a bit of sharpness and it's more blurry

Just watched this video while I'm debating on getting the xperia 1 v. This video was a great help! I'm a sony fan. I only buy sony tvs and have a ps5. But I'm far from a photographer. I just refuse to buy an apple phone, and have had issues with Samsung products and their customer service I wanted to try out sony phone, but was intimidated by what I've heard about the camera. However this video was great for that. Thanks

If I shoot in AUTO mode, is that similar to use the regular camera app on the phone? And does the phone really overheat? I'm thinking about replacing my Sony ZV-1 with this.

at 3:27, he shows a 'basic' mode. In photo pro, that's the smartphone point and shoot type mode. Basically what you mean by regular camera app. Very simple and pixel-esque, but very little control. Switching to the other modes such as Auto are when you start getting more control. Basic even has an on screen camera shutter button, but you lose that when going into the 'pro modes'. 🙂

I broke my xperia pro-i and got the 1 iv. Love it. But for the Pro tools, I think other phones also have the pro UI for their cameras like Galaxy has the Pro mode which allows you to tweak almost the same features that xperia pro camera does. So the problem comes, if a company can just make a pro camera UI to make a mobile professional camera, then Sony has to make sure that their hardware is at the top. Otherwise, I don't see any points to buy this 1500 phone
