Do you think there is a true Sabbath to observe other than the weekly Sabbath? perhaps you should start asking questions about the authenticity of the source of that information because the Sabbath observance is very clear in the Bible, Don't Change your God my dear, there are people who even argue that Jesus didn't come to the world at all, how different are you to these people? you can choose not to honour God by observing the Sabbath, but don't teach others of such a demonic findings to mislead them.

One thing for certain though, unlike in the old testament, these new moons and sabbaths will not be pointing forward to a cross. By that time, Jesus Christ was living in the old covenant time. The new covenant came to effect after Christ's death, so yes He kept the Sabbath because the old covenant was still in effect. The reason there’s the word « Remember in Exodus 20 is because God had already explained the sabbath in Exodus 16. Before Exodus 16, the word Sabbath is not in the Bible but there’s rest which is symbolic for the new covenant rest. Also, in the New covenant, Jesus says "Do this in Rememberance of Me". Thanks for commenting. The question is: When did God tell Israel to pick Manna 6days and not the 7th? Exodus 16, just before the issuing of the law. So for the Israelites under that covenant, Sabbath was cyclical. For Adam and Eve and New Testament Believers, Sabbath is perpetual. Be blessed!

I’m confused too. The 10 commandments were for men, not God. And although Jesus was the perfect paradigm of them, the fact that He “worked” miracles, is spiritual healing, not “man labor.” That is how He kept the Sabbath, and His “work” is not the literal meaning that we apply to ourselves today. God already labored like we do on a greater scale when He created everything. Jesus did not labor, He SERVED God

What is the new covenant in the Bible? The Old Covenant is a lifeless code of moral demands, but the New Covenant provides God's power to live for Him. God gives the SAME MORAL INSTRUCTIONS in both covenants - but in the new covenant he provides his Holy Spirit to supply both the motivation and the power to fulfill those instructions (Phil. 2:13). MORAL INSTRUCTIONS--KEEP the SABBATH has NEVER CHANGED!!!

Exodus 16:29 God gave the sabbath command BECAUSE they were slaves in Egypt. Deut 5:15 There was no such commandment given to gentiles who are christians. Acts 15:24. The New covenant is different than the old. We have new commandments in the new covenant like loving one another as Christ has loved us. I am not bound to a tent every saturday. The sabbath was a shadow of the everyday "Rest" in the new covenant. Rest in the new covenant does not mean we don't cook or work. It means we can spend time with God anytime, any day. The bible also says in Gen 17:12 that on the 8th day all male babies should be circumcised. Do you remember that too? Context matters.

However, your argument is based on the misconception that ALL those who congregate to worship on Sunday (the first day of the week), do so because it is either a replacement of the Jewish Sabbath or a new commandment by God, which is not the case. While Constantine may have made such a declaration, the early Church did meet and worship on the first day of the week way before that. While, since Constantine, a few denominations do hold the Sunday Sabbatarian view, that's not the view of the majority of people who worship on Sunday. We are to worship everyday and meet, fellowship and worship as often as possible. We are not supposed to keep one day holy and the rest unholy, we are supposed to keep all days holy. Apart from the converted Jews who insisted on worshipping on Saturday based on their Jewish traditions, there is no Biblical evidence that the Church met on Saturdays only (or at all) for worship. Also, it was centuries after the resurrection of Jesus that the Seventh day Sabbatarian practice STARTED. There is no Biblical or historical record of the early Church keeping a Sabbath or worshipping on Saturday. Bear in mind, that while Jesus kept the Sabbath, the New Covenant did not come into effect until after His resurrection.
