There is no eternal rest but "the Seventh-day" Sabbath(Rest), your explanation of the existence of 8th day is very faulty as this weekly cycle we presently have is from creation therefore, no room for the 8th day, as the following was the restart of the week on the 1st day of the week. On work, you have also missed it, when Adam was created he was placed in the garden of Eden to "Cultivate it" so work was given to the them before that first rest. Genesis 2:15 [15]Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

This phrase means that Adam was placed in the garden to till, plant, and cultivate the garden and to keep it in order. Work was not a punishment, God placed Adam in the garden before they sinned. The sabbath was a blessed day to rest from your work. Also, read Isaiah 66:23, “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, faith the lord.” This phrase proves that we will continue to worship God in heaven. I am from PNG and acknowledge that there are issues in the SDA however be mindful that nobody is perfect.SDA is the prophetic church because truth was suppressed by the Catholic church and at the end of time ,God raised up the reformers to reveal the truth and before Jesus return there has to be a denomination to proclaimed all the truth and SDA is that church.
