I got a horrendous rash with insane itching after four days of taking the drug. Had to be taken off. Rash is spreading from head to foot. I haven’t slept in two days and had to cancel my vacation. I’m not a candidate for an antihistamine so. Suffering as I’m writing this.

I started amoxicillin yesterday evening and I slept only 3 hours. I feel very panicky right now. Is it just me or is this antibiotic worse than penicillin?

Did a full course of 20 500mg amoxicyllin, felt better but strep came back so now I'm up to 875/125

You should have changed your doctor instantly. Because taking this much antibiotics in not good for you considering future sickness. Whenever you feel you're not getting better after completing your prescription as prescribed by your doctor then it's time to change your doctor. Because it can be another infection or disease which could be growing in any other part of body off which you're seeing symptoms in your throat. So it can be anything. If your doctor is not advising you any lab tests for the same after completing full courses then it's a red signal. It could be a case of commission, fees which is he or she is getting from your purchase of medicines. So whenever you find yourself in a situation like this, just change your doctor. If you're having difficulty finding a better doctor then ask to your friends and relatives and a Google search may help also. I wish you a healthy and prosperous life. 🙏

I Had blotches when I Was a little baby girl thanks to using amoxicillin. Which means my doctor told me not to get amoxicillin anymore. I am allergic to amoxicillin

I took amoxicillin after 4 wisdom teeth extractions and boyo boy I've never had this bad of stomach pain it feels like I have a knife in my stomach and had a horrible headache on top of that I couldn't sleep for the first 3 days cause I'm a smoker and had to stop due to the teeth being pulled then on the 3rd day all I could do was sleep I'm gonna say amoxicillin is not my friend I've always stopped midway thru antibiotics I can't lie but this time I'd say I did it for a solid reason u won't be takin 800mg of amoxicillin ever again

Please don't try and tell me it's withdrawal from smoking because I've quit for months multiple times now just for "tolerance" breaks and I've never had this issue before only when I quit and take amoxicillin

Amoxicillin makes my stomach hurt and gives me painfully black stool. I also feel like it affects me psychological.

No idea if this has ever been recorded but I was prescribed 1000mg 3x a day for 5 days for a sinus infection. Not long after taking them, I started to get pretty uncomfortable lung pain. Once I stopped the pills the pain gradually left.

I take these atm for 5 days cuz of pneumonia. Only side effect that I get is discomfort in the stomach, 1 hour after taking it. it Usually lasts for max. 1 hour and then its gone. Just a strange feeling in the stomach, nothing else.

Jesus people PLEASE read this DO NOT TAKE THE AMOXICILLIN IN ANY OTHER MANNER THAN AS PRESCRIBED currently I have a tooth abscess and am permitted to take one every 12 hours, you know what it can do to some patients is not only cause stomach pain but if you were to swallow 2-4 amoxicillin willy nilly it can quite literally cause your stomach to bleed internally, this pain will be worse than whatever your taking antibiotics for ✌️

I'm just on it. doctor said had touch of Pleurisy. pain in both ribs at back especially when coughing etc I'm in my 60s . have A.S. and C.H.D.

No …. It may give you a yeast infection as well, so have your doctor prescribed Something for yeast infections to counteract it

That is odd. I have never known it to cause palps. Some of the macrolide antibiotics may do that but amox is generally well tolerated. I have used it for years off and on and it has never done so to me.

i agree its a totally dangerous drug..it gave me really bad heart palpations. right after i stopped taking the drug i felt better 3 days later they finally went away.. i will never take this drug again if any drugs ever again after what happened.@@wjrmyop
