I have stage 2 gerd and told my doctor that. I was still given this medication and over the course of 10 days. 2 of those days had the worst stomachaches I've ever had in my entire life. Please use caution!

I just started taking Doxycycline for pneumonia and one of the side effects I've noticed is extreme sensitivity to coffee/espresso, probably because of the rapid intake of caffeine.

I was perscribed it today but will start tmr as i wanted mord info. I get that its best to finish course. I was told to stop tho if i experience side effects.

You forgot to mention that it can cause spasms in the esophagus , I took it for 2 days and wound up in the er thinking I was having a heart attack, but it was the medicine I was on . I was taken off it immediately, but still had spasms for months .

Yes, bad side effects. I took it for 5 days, the second day i. Couldn't smell or taste , still can't 😢 after 10 days stopping that poison. I was exhausted, nausea, headache, i didn't know it was the medication i had a bronchitis. The Dr said it was normal 😡 🐂💩. We have to stay far from the medical system.🙈 I hope you feel better 🙏

Question: If I take low dose doxycycline (50mg) in the morning with a tall glass of water on an empty stomach, do I really have to wait more than like 30-45min to drink my coffee with milk (because of the calcium)? I thought the doxycycline would already be absorbed or at least further down the digestive system. Thanks a lot.

get in touch with your doctor, you might be experiencing photosensitivity! get sunscreen and evade sun for the time being

This is crazy. Why would Doctors prescribe this when they know you have diarrhea?

because doxycycline is a strong multi-purpose antibiotic, especially useful for people who have penicillin allergy. because treatment is normally (!) short-term, benefits outweigh the risks. make sure to get kefir or other forms of lactic acid bacteria (lab) in-between doxycycline intake (>3 hrs).

All this talk about antibiotic resistance I wonder there has to be something you can take or do along with antibiotics to make them much more effective. Anyone heard of anything? I know Colloidal Silver works wonders by itself probably even more so together.

it's fucked up tho to recommend colloidal silver generally as the human body cannot properly digest it and accumulates it over time, which can lead to way more problems than an antibiotic which you pee out after successful treatment
