Worked great for my social anxiety. -Withdrawal from missing a dose was like motion sickness. +lasted longer in bed.

thanks, gives me hope that I'm doing the right thing. everything i'm reading on paxil is making me nervous and wanting to throw this stuff in the trash.

@@user-co3is6cw4j great. Paxil has been amazing. Some side effects in the first two weeks, but then its evened out. Nothing but positives here. I feel like me again. I'd forgotten what that felt like

what if I'm on paxil for 10 years and take 40mg? when I forget to take it for more then one day the withdrawal are so bad I rather be dead

Again you never mentioned the anger issue. It was reported out of the UK at least 3 years ago. And someone in my family is experiencing it for the past 2 years.

Interesting. My Dr told me to take it in the morning because it would give me energy. But he also prescribed another antidepressant I’m suppose to take with it

Everyone is different, if I take it late, can't sleep well, I started taking 10 mg a couple of days ago, also taking hydroxyzine for sleep

No one can estimate side effect or benefit of any antidepressant to treat depression except users of it. Lot off report of cons and pros.somebody get worried to try antidepressants. Person should try everything to treat depression😢

It took me over a year to get off of paxil. It worked great for many years but then I started having issues with side effects .

I would feel absolutely unfunctional if I did not have it in my system I took a razor blade and would have to shave off tiny amounts at a time taking me over a year. I got off of it after being on it for 9 years I started to develop mania and hypomania. Also extremely fatigued at times, anxiety, terrible agitation.

@@christopherwg4236 Hope you have completely got the paxil out of your system. I am on week 3 of stopping. Felt like a zombie and always had brain fog while I was on it for a few years. Finally decided that I didn't want to be a puppet anymore. Felt like there must be a better way to stop being so anxious about everything. I need to work more on mind control, instead of using a drug to fix it. Never realized how powerful this narcotic was.

None of the mentioned were true in my case. But what is true is that I'll be taking it for life. Withdrawal is too hard for me. And not talking about brain zaps, those are actually entertaining too me.

It's a side effect for the first two weeks of starting paroxetine (I hope so)...It's my second week on paroxetine now ,taking it for social anxiety and at start I just couldn't sleep all night but now it's getting kind of better slowly

@@adhitabaliga My son did not end up taking. Thank God we managed fine and do not need to resort to meds.. Meds r good to help people but the scary thing is dependence on it. I hope you feel better soon. xx

It took me several years to stop taking this antidepressant. The withdrawal effect cause a lot of pain, especially when you cut the last 5 mg (you have to go much more slowly when you reduce the doses on the last 5 milligrams (we're talking about a few tenths of a milligram per month and even then, you will feel it a lot). :P Avoid this medication if possible. Take antidepressants that doesn't cause withdrawal effect, otherwise, it's dangerous. If ever you cannot have the Paxil (in war time or eventual shortage of the medecine), you are certain to find yourself in the hospital after a few days suddently without it, and there is a suicide risk. Other than that I have been 25 years on Paxil (couldn't withdraw).

I was perscribed paxil but Im afraid to take it . I feel incredibly uneasy around people and its making me miserable . I wouldnt mind taking it forever if it helps , are the side effects that bad that they make u wanna withdraw?

I think Paxil either stopped working for me since I missed doses or it just stopped in general. I’m not sure. I missed maybe 12 doses at 10mg in 3 months. My doctor put me back on 30mg and was still anxious after 2 weeks. Thoughts racing and neck was so tense. Just had it cut down to 20 mg and added 1mg Rexulti. Worked well so far so but I don’t want to take Rexulti too long bc of the side effects it has. I’m curious if I should have given the Paxil 30mg would have worked better if I waited a week longer. I was down to 10mg for 2 1/2 years before I had issues bc of missed doses and withdrawal.

@@user-sp3pi5wz3m That's interesting. That's the reason why I asked my doctor to get Paxil at the time (uneasy around people and it was making me miserable - it's not easy - I am with you on that). But, quite frankly, I would ask for an other one instead ideally, because, if you miss doses, you're gonna feel it very quickly, you gonna feel bad and if there is any shortage, it can be a huge problem. I think Sertraline is a bit easier to withdraw. Or Fluoxetine is even better for the withdrawal.

Hi, i went from 20 mg to 30 mg with my doctor. But 30 mg made more anxious. Is this possible and how many days continue like this?

Today my 5th day with seroxat 12.5 cr and two other medicines but I have side effects like anxiety panic attacks dry mouth heavy head sometimes feeling upset etc. Anyone kindly advise me will they go off.
