I stopped taking this meds bc I thought I was better but in reality it was helping me I took it once a day and after a few months I started having bad anxiety and confusion. I don’t recommend just up and quitting it. It can cause you to have different symptoms w your anxiety or even make it worse in some cases

Wish you was out here in South Orange County California. It’s a good medication it takes 3 weeks at least especially for the appetite to return I’m in Retail Pharmacy

Could still get those cranial "zings" but they are way less pronounced vs cold turkey off celexa and other modern SSRIs, responses to Prozac were so gradual in comparison.

I stopped fluoxetine, olanzapine amd alprazolam abrutly about 2 weeks ago, im having really bad nightmares, i dont want to get back to these meds, can you tell me how to stop it?

I hope you're doing better now, but please never stop these meds abruptly. You are exposing yourself to a potentially severe withdrawal reaction. Always talk to your doctor about how to safely discontinue them, you are still the patient and can decide for yourself to take a treatment or not, or at least bring up your concerns that make you want to stop it, so they should respect that and help you taper off if needed, and discuss other treatment options. Depending on how long you were on them, it's safer to take weeks or months of slowly tapering, to avoid rebound withdrawal (resurgence of your previous symptoms possibly even worse), and you should still experience a stable reduction of any undesirable side-effects without having to quit cold-turkey. Withdrawal symptoms can appear even months after quitting the medication (especially if it has a long half-life like Fluoxetine), so while some are lucky and never get them, I would not take that risk.

@@OfficialRogue Thanks for reading and taking your time to reply this, means a lot. I had withdrawals for 2 weeks, they slowly went away I guess its because my immune system is good, I eat healthy stuff daily. Rn I'm on Venlafaxine, Bupron, Metrazepine, Propranolol, Clonzapam. Very low dosage, I feel depressed but OCD is kind of lowest after 3-4 years of treatment. My goal is to end this drug cycle amd be better by myself (medicines can only do so much, it's upto person to work on themselves, meds are just for initial push). And i hope you'll get better too if you're on any med rn, feel free to talk to me about your problems, I'm more than happy to listen.

I stopped fluoxetine abruptly, one night I had very bad withdrawal. Believe me dont stop it abruptly, instead taper it slowly

Hi there, alprazolam has very dangerous withdrawal affects and symptoms, please look up the Ashton Manual, it will help you set up a safe taper, please be careful, benzos are no joke, all the best to you

It's not generally advised since Marijuana and Prozac together can make you more susceptible to the psychoactive effects of THC.

Never increase dose, you need to taper off very very slowly and safely and get off all meds (prescription, OTC, street drugs) and off all supplements and herbal remedies etc.. and let you body heal Gods way. It is the only way to regain your health! Taking more drugs is no different then continually taking more alcohol or marijuana to help
