I remembered when Kumiko had a monologue in the ensemble arc OVA about a what-if scenario where Reina finds someone better at playig euph that Kumiko and just brushed it off. It'll surely come to haunt her later on in the form of Mayu.

Let’s go he’s back. I love his content, especially his Violet Evergarden documentary. It is one of the best anime documentaries I have ever seen. The Violet Evergarden documentary is so beautifully crafted and narrated.

It's interesting how in the Ensemble contest OVA Kumiko voices her fear of what Reina would think if a better Eupho player than her arrived next year and here we are with Mayu (maybe not better, but Kumiko's unease etc etc)

well. spoiler in light novel ********************************************* kumiko lose solo to mayu kansai competition audition. but kumiko won it back in national competition audition. n kitauji win gold in national competition... Reina went to musical collage in US. Kumiko became a teacher and went back to Kitauji as the club's vice-adviser years later.
