Depending on the "type" of tomatoe plant , those 45* branches are your tomatoe producing branches. Wait & find out which ones to prune or you wont have any tomatoes at all.

Yes, the 45 angled ones are the producing branches, but the suckers are in between that and the main stem. You can choose to sucker tomatoes or let them be or trellis them and grow them on a single stem with very few leaves. Totally up to the person and their preference and climate.

Pruning suckers= 1/3 the harvest for indeterminate tomatoes..?

Yall nred to start posting your years growing. We have 3 groups. The novice beginners 1 to 3 yrs. The wanna be homesteaders with 4 to 7 yrs. Then you have the real men who've figured it out or are born into diggin holes. Youll never see group 3 here or on social. They dont prune. Barely water and get entire acres of fruit. Find the right friends in real life

@@puckerfist6621not exactly true when it comes to tomatoes. Mainly here in our Southern region, the more leaves the more disease issues. Tomatoes are vines and benefit from pruning, but whether you prune or not you’ll get fruit regardless :)
