Great video! You said that ”see the hit animation” to confirm. Did you mean hit sparks? That’s the easiest difference to see for me. A twitch confirm situation I wanted to share: T7 Ganryu has 1 jab that’s +11 on CH, guaranteeing head butt. It’s so fast that it’s not possible to hit confirm. The main situation to press this is when either you or the opponent did a move that’s slightly minus/plus on block and it got blocked. Now you press 1 and stare at the opponent. If you notice them doing anything you buffer the head butt. Otherwise you don’t. Sometimes you got hit instead (opponent did something very fast), so the head butt doesn’t come out, but that doesn’t matter. You are in hit stun and the game ignores your button press. IMHO the most important twitch confirm example are the two hit i5 launchers. You step and press the startup while staring at your opponent. Let the followup rip if they did something. Some people also use these as keepout tools. Press followup only if they see opponent pressing (then they can’t block). You covered this use case for Reina/Heihachi df1, but it’s even better if you have one of those two hit i15 launchers. For viewers: Twitch confirm is difficult. Training it in lab helps. Needs lots of repetition. Even harder in real match.
