@@JohnSmith-yv6eq No. Enterprise purchases vehicles cash in bulk at heavy discounts due to quantity. @@JohnSmith-yv6eq Some politician I forget who once said the business of America is business and he was right. Nobody is better at business than we are and that's ok. Don't be such a snob there's a niche for everything. Nobody is better at a lot of things than we are. That isn't always a compliment but it is what it is. Enterprise started out in the car rental business and along the way, they discovered there was more money to be made in buying and selling than in renting and there's no insult in that either. No matter what, every rental company not just Enterprise eventually has to turn over their inventory once cars are no longer viable as rentals. Can't fault them for making a buck instead of losing one. The losers mentality is for Democrats..

Scotty says he's cheap and doesn't care about image, reminds me of a philosophical musing by Bruce Lee "The poorer we are inwardly the more we seek to enrich ourselves outwardly". Scotty is a deeply complex free thinking man with a spiritual wealth that doesn't need to derive self worth from material possessions. the respect he has for himself is a reflection of the respect he shows others. Tempered with wisdom and common sense his kindness cannot be exploited. Scotty, you've saved me a ton of money over the years, and given me confidence I wouldn't have if not for your instruction, advice, and the time you took to convey all of that knowledge. I cannot say enough kind words to measure how grateful I am to you, and the Almighty creator for bestowing you upon me and the rest of us. Worst car I ever owned was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Every mechanic I dealt with said they all leak. They had a faulty hinge in the door that easily broke. The spare tire was in the back storage area, which defeated the purpose of having an SUV with a bunch of storage. Electric seat adjuster broke and it was going to cost an insane amount to fix. Total money pit.

Brother has had what we thought was a dependable Altima for 12 years. It developed two codes, p1122 and p1126. Reset computer after replacing throttle body and throttle position sensor associated with said trouble codes. Still stuck in limp mode, two garages have looked at it and given up. Online searches have revealed this issue does arise in 03 Altimas. Been a useless car now for the better part of a year. Awaiting another good mechanic to work on it. He’s several weeks backed up with business due to being a great mechanic. It was a great car until this issue developed. But patience is everything.

Scotty, Being that I own an 2007 Volvo C70, I noticed many comparable codes to the Range Rover you're diagnosing. That said, in my case, many of the codes for my C70 went away after I inspected and cleaned connectors running to and from the battery terminals, sealing them with a high end moisture displacement spray. (I use Boeshield T-9) I cleared codes, then ran another diagnostic after 500ish miles. As codes came periodically I'd repeat cleaning connectors. Finally all is good...😏for now.

I’m still new to CANbus, but I’d be willing to suggest that something is up with the fundamental main bus link causing all these ancillary failures and hiccups. From what limited information I know on CAN bus, the connectors are not standardized and perhaps Range Rover uses a lousy connector that perhaps allows moisture (corrosion) or dirt in that results in sketchy bus communications. Again, something I’m looking at coming out of the IT world where another bus protocol (Ethernet) is ubiquitous.

We had lots of Chrysler products from the 1960's and every decade to now with over 200,000 miles even 360,000 miles they are reliable.. What gave Chrysler a bad name was them using Mitsubishi 2.6 4cyl and 3.0 V6 in the 1980's and 1990's those engines would blow up at 30,000 miles.. People talk about how bad the 1998 Chrysler 2.7 V6 is because of engine sludge but they gloss over the Worlds biggest producer of failing engines with engine sludge, thats Toyota...They also refuse to accept that Toyota has bad piston rings that cause burning oil and engine failure from 10 miles upward on brand new Toyota's from 2010-now even the Prius burns oil.. People also gloss over Toyota has serious structure and rust issues on their Toyota trucks and suvs',RUST on FRAMES they need to research it...Even the Japanese built 4Runner and Lexus model has frame rust! Ever change a starter on a Toyota or Lexus, some engines have the starter UNDER the intake manifold! Thats on top of the engine, you have to remove half of the engine and accessories to change a starter thats a 15 minute job on any Chrysler products!

It is pretty quick too believe it or not, and I love the D4S system where it has 8 fuel injectors to stop the carbon buildup and I also think that might help it idle smoother when you sit in your car waiting to go into work with either the heat or the air conditioning on depending on the temperature outside.
