In the midst of Epic B-Roll and Stop-Motion culture, I wanted to share some principles and/or tips that can help make your food videos more engaging without having to rely on specific camera movements. In fact, the principles/tips that I share have almost nothing to do with any specific filmmaking technique.

Yea I was really sucked into the drama of the scene until it was rudely ripped away with that behind the scene shot...u got me🤣🤣🤣 I want to learn to edit with static shots just like that. Not trying to be too fancy.

Wow! Just wow. So helpful. I know I can bake....but I need the viewers to SEE I can bake and WHAT I bake and HOW GOOD IT IS. But....Im a baker............after months on you rube I realize.........."girl....you have to be a baker, a videographer, editor, sound effect person?" Your tips are helpful. Not complicated. Excellent stuff man! I've always tried to be more intentional about getting more interesting shots. I think there's such a huge opportunity in my particular corner of the food video niche to really stand out. I already get comments on my relaxed style, both in the style of my videos and my own personality. I don't think it would take much tweaking to really get them to something special. Just subscribed, looking forward to seeing and learning more.

THANK YOU! I'm a chef with 30 years experience in cooking but zero in being a cameraman or editor! It's SO hard! Like I have in my head what I want to a video to be, and it outcome is NEVER what I was picturing in my head lol

Video is VERY hard, because it's unforgiving to mistakes. With photography, you get to prepare everything for a single moment, with video you need to plan ahead but also not make (many or large) mistakes during filming. As everything, it comes down to practice. No giving up! :)

I''m starting a series where that premieres June 1st where I interview artists, musicians, chefs, comedians, actors, or anyone I just find interesting or inspiring, all while cooking them a 10 course meal! We start shooting the 24th. I think I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew lol.

Hi . Am here for your food photos but decided to watch this anyway. Your 3 ideas are applicable to photos as well I think. I love how you make us imagine by showing less. Showing the bottom of the stove made me think of cooking eggs. And juxtaposition , I cannot really translate that into my language before or understand it well but thanks for elaborating it here. Now I know why I like the part where you show a bit of say awkwardness into your vids 😊. Ive seen it also applied in comic cartoons as well. This makes it more of an interesting photo or vid. Thanks for the tips and lessons. Will try to apply it with what I do. Thanks man! Now im craving for a sandwich 😆

I love this, thanks for sharing. How did you create that super fast zoom in to the bowl as you were stirring at 20 seconds? I have seen that kind of transition done on the luxury real estate series on netflix when they enter a room and then zoom in super fast with that swish sound its awesome. I am using filmora 13 do you know how I would create this in there? Also where do you get your music for these from?

This channel is totally underrated. Look at the quality of the Videos, is more than good. Hope, that i will acquire to the results soon. Can i ask, which camera/lens you use and which video Editor?
