I started your FitandFlexible 10 min. a day routine about ten days ago. and I love it! Your instructions are so helpful and you look great! How can I get those arms?? Menopause destroyed the muscle tone in my body. I'm fighting to get it back. Thanks

Thankyou, great video to help. I worked with horses and over time had a broken wrist, fractured forearm and dislocated right arm so its a constant problem. my right arm / shoulder just dosnt straighten

Thank you! I will try some of these...to see what works best. Until my upper body strength improves. I'm fine on lower body. But painful wrist & pressure on shoulders gives me trouble. Think I watched wrist video, but will go watch again to refresh my mind. Good to know I can turn hands out 45° & put arms out a bit wider.

Great vid. I bought your course, was about to start, then a week ago I lifted something really heavy, now have lower back and facet joint pain, feels like it's going to collapse. When I can get by without out Brufen, I want to start, can you recommend what I should do to ease into your course please Janine.x

Yes, thanks, I've been doing the subtle movements in that today and yesterday and they are helping, also managed my normal daily walk today, so hopefully on the mend.@@WinWithYoga

Interesting about being able to bend knees ☺️ Can I just check what the purpose of downward dog - I thought it was to get straight legs, feet flat on floor to work the legs / hamstrings 😆

Sure you can work towards that as I talk about in the video. However the pose involves the entire body. If you're restricted in your hams, hips, and/or lowback it will be very challenging to straighten the legs without your pelvis tucking and low back rounding. When you work to extend the spine (not round) and flex (bend) at the hips you actually create alignment to stretch the hamstrings as the hamstrings originate at the pelvis and run all the way down to the lower leg. You also create a safer position for the low spine, encourage hip mobility and core strength. Make sense? Thanks for your comment 😊👍

Thanks for the info. I have had neck issues in the past, and I struggle with this pose causing discomfort at the back of my neck and occiput. It just all feels heavy and uncomfortable there. Any ideas? Thank you.

Great question! If it feels uncomfortable for your neck I would recommend modifying the position to what I call "football huddle" - like a standing forward fold but place your forearms on your thighs so your torso is almost parallel to the floor and your head won't be hanging down. From here extend the spine and you can begin straightening the legs until you feel a stretch. You won't have as much load on the upper body, but it's a way to work the stretch through the back of the body and still support your head. Let me know if this helps.
