Thank you so much! I'm 38 and trying to get stronger and more flexible. I used to be one of those 20 somethings taking the 90 minute hot yoga classes but years at a desk job and remote work has taken its toll. I really appreciate the mindfulness to modifications and injuries.

When I hear ten minutes a day to major changes I feel like this is exaggerated for the results possible in ten minutes a day. I would have purchased except for the overly exaggerated claim

I understand having trouble believing just 10-minutes can help. But when it comes to working out and becoming fit, a consistent routine of 10 minutes a day will work wonders than nothing. We are all busy with life and so 10 minutes are very doable.

I don’t know if this’ll help at all, but, in my experience, short bursts of exercise/activity is actually very effective. I lost 18 pounds over a period of three months by cutting sugar and empty calories, keeping dairy in pretty strict moderation (I LIVE for cheese) and doing 7-10 minute workouts no less than five days per week. Google: ‘Short bursts exercise’ and you’ll get a sense of what I mean. As long as you get that heart rate up, you’re making a difference. Edit: P.S. Hello, Janine. My sincere apologies for not responding to your video sooner. I'm going through a rough time, as my mother died recently, and haven't been able to function normally and lack motivation to get moving. I have been doing these and the Win With Yoga exercises sporadically, and they are excellent for someone like myself who used to be active years ago and is eager to become flexible again to avoid injury. It is so crucial for women our age and older to stay flexible, as inflexibility can cause injuries due to tightening of the muscles and ligaments, hence being more prone or susceptible. Again, thank you for designing workouts that create flexibility without overexerting oneself. I'm a 64-year-old grandmother of a 1 and 1/2-year-old grandson and am determined to stay active and keep up with him as long as I can! Love your program! 😊

I'm doing this today!!! The Fit with Yoga program worked perfectly for me, a 58yo yoga beginner with multiple spine & back issues. I was looking for something to help my hips and lower back and am grateful to have found the 5 day tryout program. It helped me see this is something I can do, and only 10 minutes a day! I was skeptical that so little time would make a difference, but it has. I got the 30 Day Fit & Flexible and love it. I feel so much better when I start my morning with Janine that I rarely miss, but when I do, I feel it. Ugh! Best 10 minutes of my morning. Thank you, Janine!

Thank you for the short video. I have seen several tutorials that show the various leg positions in Tree Pose. What seems missing to me is how to move from kickstand to placing the foot on the opposite calf and then higher on the thigh. Could there not be more to progressing in this pose than standing by the wall and practicing? I suspect that some attention to external hip rotation would be of value and perhaps some other preparatory balance poses would be helpful here too. Please share not just where to start, but how to progress to the next step.

Thank you for giving those of us who have knee issues a way to do the yoga poses without being on our knees. Other yoga programs just say use more padding and tough it out, but I feel like I can now do some of the exercises that were off limits to me because of my knees. Great video!

It was the beginning of a consistent and easily manageable fitness program that is convenient to fit into your day and will help you feel energized and ready to get on with your day. It is not difficult to get up 15 minutes earlier to start your day with these energizing moves.

Thank you SOOO much. It is so nice to have an instructor that understands "our" bodies. I am over 50, and I want to be healthy. Disappointingly, I found this too fast for me when I am just starting yoga, trying to manage injuries/tightness, and while trying to hold the correct pose.

This is a great stretch for tight hips and lower back which is something I waken with almost every day. In conjunction with these You Tube videos, I have also subscribed to Janine's Fit and Flexible for Life and Good Back for Life. My exercises with Janine have become a part of my morning routine. They have been so helpful as I deal with osteoarthritis in my hips, especially the right hip, and lower back. I feel so much looser after doing these stretches. It's a great way to start my day. They are quite manageable for this 73 year old!

Love the video. Thanks. But I have a quick question - when doing the pigeon pose does the front knee have to be at a 90 deg angle? I can't seem to keep it there, mine is more of a 45 deg angle. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi... Great question! Your front leg does not have to be at 90 degrees to get great benefit from pigeon pose. Move yours to where you are able (sounds like 45 degrees) and work from there. Keep up the great work and thanks for tuning in! 😊

I clicked on this after reading an e-mail. I have osteoarthritis in my hips, especially my right. I have been doing Fit & Flexible for Life as well as Good Back for Life and I am slowing working through your series of 80 yoga stretches. Your program has been a god send for me. I had never checked out your Your Tube videos until today. What a treasure trove! Thank you for providing all of these wonderful and helpful stretches. For a woman of 73, I feel that this type of exercise is perfect for me to keep my body moving.
