Good ides on what one can do on their own. One can always be working to be a better baseball player. How good do you want to be? Tony Gwynn used to hit whiffle balls off a tee. You can do that almost anywhere. When he heard the "whoosh" hitting a whiffle ball, he knew his swing was tuned. Then he'd hit balls off a tee, do soft toss and then BP.
