The 2nd one is totally wrong in terms of fiction books, there a lot of amazing audiobooks that engage you throughout. I agree that non fiction books need proper notes and highlightings to absorb it properly, but that's not the case with fiction books. Also research suggests that listening triggers the same sensation as reading a book.

My way of absorbing information is through audio. In fact, when listening to an audio of a book, it's easy for me to imagine and create visualization in my head and process it well. You can't do delicate stuff that requires much attention. But you can get ahead just listening to the book and getting some work done along with it.

I especially agree just listening and reading summaries can not even replace the deep sweetness of when you are reading and you got entangled into writers words and his thinking pattern . Moreover , to read is the way of deep connection with the writer . As really books speak. But the one who puts his ears onto their silent voices can hear these soothing words . ❤❤❤

Actually it depend from person to person. The way people learn is characterized in three ways visual, auditory and kinesthetic. You may be a visual learner so you may absorb the knowledge by reading the book, at the same time some may be more receptive to the audiobook and some learn by doing the things that they learn from the book. Usually the best way to speed up the learning is to utilise all the three forms of learning.

Like reality is that we read books so we can feel something and learn something when we just read it for interest it only means we wanna discover what are the thoughts that was putted in the book while writing it, and thus we just need to remember where and what it teaches us and deal with the situation if we ever came up with anything happened in the book

Usually I use audio book to set the rhythm or maybe pronunciation while reading the book and as @warikoo said not to be used when distracted, when I tried doing that I had to listen same part 4 or 5 times to absorb and understand the meaning. Which makes the process strenuous and you will want to go for another book.

I would scientifically differ with the second point. Our human brain is very powerful. Though we are "consciously" doing some other work while listening, we are still "subconsciously" listening to the audio and our subconscious is still absorbing all the knowledge. The only difference is that when we are actually implementing something from the book , we would be implementing it subconsciously wonder how we did it, still it doesn't really matter as long as we are gaining out of it. Our human brain is the best piece of technology the human kind can ever experience. I urge you to try this and share your experience.
