It works well for me every year because I have the Tour de France to keep me distracted. Right when it is over it is time for some (redacted name of the most non-racist and beloved team from my childhood, where Native Americans held a place of honor) football.

I don't watch or keep up with any other sports other than the NFL. I have tried to get into Basketball, Baseball and Hockey but it's just not nearly as entertaining as Football. I have gotten much more into College Football but that runs right along side the NFL so that doesn't help pass the time during the long off-season. With the Combine/Pro Days/FA/Draft/TC/pre season it does help the time pass by kinda quick but I'm just dying for a new season under a new ownership, coaching staff, pretty damn different roster, schemes, exciting rookie QB, etc. I'm not expecting or too worried about how many wins the Commanders get this season. I'm more concerned with how competitive and hard they all play.
