If you had an opportunity to tell your teenage self three words, what would they be? Plus, at what age should teenagers contribute to the household? We weigh in on the benefits of teachable moments but also make a case for kids being allowed to just be kids.

"Put yourself first!" Do what YOU want, make your own path, love yourself, experience all you can, don't give up on your goals for a man, don't let negative family hold you back, don't go to college just because that's what people tell you that you should do. Whatever it is, prioritize your mental health and physical health and stay true to what you want.

I don't think CHILDREN should pay for utilities, rent, phones etc. even if they have a job in high school. Those are necessities that should be provided by the parents until they are at least 18. If they want extras then yes have them pay but paying for bills should not fall on a child's shoulders

Well I’m turning 20 in August and I’m just looking back at all that time through my teens where there were scenarios , people and obstacles that were in my way to purposely get in my way for an eventual downfall... but the thing I would say to him is “ You Are Strong “ cuz there are people who go through hell and hot water and don’t know how to recover... but I’ve always remained to look at the situations I’ve been through as stepping stones to help develop into the amazing human being that I am proud to be... a “ weak “ person would’ve just given and felt hopeless and wondered what’s the next move... but I’ve always chosen to look for the positive and realize God didn’t bring me far just to leave me! So I’m grateful for all the wack things thrown st me just for me to overcome the ish

@@somethinglikeanonymous1773 well for 1 the Bible... 2 church. And with modern day technology there are many videos and documentaries that talk to u about Christ and break down the diction in the Bible and offer interpretation. Then it comes down to listening for him, but in a more spiritual way. If u are looking for someone to walk up to u and sit and have a full conversation with u, that’s where faith comes in. Even tho we cant sit and have a cup of coffee with God u can still have faith in his word

Wants but not Needs. It’s a parent’s job to take care of their children. The children didn’t ask to be in this world, the parents did. If you can’t afford to take of things, maybe don’t have children? It’s sad to say but the world we currently live in is built that way until we change it.

This helps.... because I am 13 right now. So I should be thinking about this. The three main words I tell myself are: smart, honest, and kind. I don't only tell myself these things, but my family does too. I mostly tell myself these things because there are so many kids who would give me a hard time at school and I would usually want to be rude back to them, but I would take the high ground because it doesn't matter what the kids at school think. I shouldn't change myself just because these kids who don't even care about me are telling me to change myself. When they go low, I go high. I always try my best to be smart, honest, and kind.

I absolutely think that teens and young adults should contribute to their own phone bill, contribute to the food or the other smaller bills, just to learn responsibility. But I don't like how Adrienne's brother-in-law handled the restaurant situation. Obviously, they're little children and it puts them in a position to be embarrassed since they don't have money. It's not like they're teenagers or adults with an ability to have a job or contribute financially. They are completely dependent on the parents. And I would personally feel, as a child, like I am a burden on my parents if they're saying that, even jokingly, at dinner around other people.

Right! I’d be so scared. Ready to run away even. Probably would have burst into tears right then & there. Kids no matter what the age is,depend on the parents to take care of them & pay for them. Parents & adults need to remember that the kids didn’t ask to be here so parents shouldn’t make them feel like a burden.

Once I had my kids I did everything for them so they never knew what not being loved feels like. Unfortunately I have had several heart attack issues and was forced onto disability and my kids now want me to move in with them so they can help care for me but mentally I just can’t seem to get the demons in my mind to allow that. Adrienne listen... they WILL be entitled lol. It's a fact of us giving them the life we didn't have. Now you can make up for it in other ways by giving them chores/responsibilities and teaching them the value of money but have no doubt they're gonna be entitled. This is a sad fact me and my bestie discuss often🤷🏽‍♀️😂

I will have my kids think that they're paying their own phone bill just so that they understand how to manage money. I'll for sure invest that money for them.so that when they get older they have that but I think it really important to prepare kids for the real world. Cuz it's hard out here and I don't want life to slap my kid in the face the way it did me and so many others

Miss Beauvais is amazing in this show. They do need to make it a priority to get back on set. Plenty of talk shows have done it!!!

I don't think they're ever going back. Jeannie has moved to Atlanta and Adrienne back to New York. Those rumours about them losing their studio are starting to seem real.

Greedy parents. Even if you're struggling make a plan that doesn't involve your kids paying rent. They have such little time to be kids and they have those kinds of responsibilities waiting for them for the rest of their lives.

Adrienne, just involve your kids in volunteer and charity work. Teach them about current issues and their place in the world. The materialistic life that you lead will essentially model what they expect from themselves. You will have to model to your future kids what being modest is. Not confuse them at a restaurant of your choice. Take a child psych course to start. Read.

I think it’s okay for teens to help every now and then in some way with expenses... I know sometimes I help my mom pay stuff like the water bill or the light bill... like stuff we actually need to move freely in our home without worry... but I also am a giver so I’ve also been one with the time of covid And things like streaming services have gone up in popularity during this time i’ve also been able to give that love and entertainment back to my mom by paying for those cuz Ik she loved to just escape and catch up on tv sometimes lol
