Possibly bear mace would be necessary to carry best precaution.. people are so often complacent and glib about their place in nature.. it's quite an animated concept of reality.. We can enjoy nature but as wise beings.

It is our fault why these animals start to show up more because we ruin their habitats and their survival. For the first time I saw a coyote by my university , it was looking for a food and place to make home.

They could have tranquilized the animal and moved it somewhere else. So they said that we should be careful and look out for animals but yet we’re going to kill them? I hate what we have become

I can’t believe they killed the mountain lion AFTER the son was safe. I see why you’d kill it while it’s holding the boy but why after? They should be relocated. We are taking their homes, and they have no where else to go, and nothing else to hunt. You shouldn’t punish an animal having natural instincts to survive.

I have a full mounted mountain lion that I shot up in Oregon. Their meat tastes a lot like pork

They need to research possible unknown factors.... is it possible there are instinctive phenomenon occurring in the Minds of the mountain lions. The geometry of the location Etc that would make them have a tendency to hunt Quarry in that area.? Maybe not a rash maneuver tear up that bike trail allow the brush to go back in. Don't have that particular area encouraged to be picnic or Park area. That's algebraic caution. Or and post signs indicating necessary precautions. always carry sticks or mace.

Sad to see them be killed when We invade there homes and we cause there natural food change to decline. Remember a big cats purpose is to keep animals from not overpopulating. All this cat sees is humans for food in his home.

My house over looks whiting ranch and I hike back there all the time but I always have my pistol on me. They are always killing and attacking people and they are always dragging mountain lions out of there. If you do go hiking there keep your kids infront of you and not far away because they attack from behind.
