Your locks are beautiful! Hoping you still have them! First weekend of Dec 2021, I'll be in my 8th year of lock-life. I ain't never goin' back to regular hair, lol. Still loving the locks and glad you mentioned how cool the loops and curls and bumps are in dreads as they mature. When I first fell in love with locks, I didn't much care for the maturity-loops, but after a bit, I became totally smitten with them and still am. Great vid with excellent info for folks considering locks or with new locks.

If you want them go for it! I started mine in Jan this year. My daughter freaked. She really did not approve. Haha she's 15.. It was my choice I reaserched everything I could and decided to just stop brushing my hair. Let them do there thing. Experimented with rip n twist hear n there. So it was a gradual process. Then lockdown came, it was my chance to focus on my hair. 😁 My hubby said 'fuck it, why not' when I first mentioned it. Then when he realised I was serious he was a bit concerned but then he knows its my hair my life.. What ever makes you happy at the end of the day. Go for it. Yes I've had times when I'm like what have I done.. But that soon passes as its a process and With help like the vids and (Maintaince)Washing (non residue shampoo) and seperating! They are the 2 key things you need to do. Oh and don't go to sleep with them wet! Your good to go. . All the best x

Most of my family does too haha. Best advice?...if you want it that badly, go for it! You can always change your look down the road if you wish, but don't miss out on the experience because of what others think of the style or you. You will also be amazed at how many people will love them too! Xo

I want dreads so bad ,I've always had messy hairstyles because I have thin hair and I'm not sure I could have them. I cant get my hair to grow beyond a certain point ,its damaged from bleach and also wondered if dreads would help it grow so I could stop using heat on my hair. I'm ready to start this journey but have no idea where to go or if it would be right for me. I always am disappointed when I go to a salon and I'm tired of trying g new hairstyles that I never am happy with. I'm really feeling dreads are for me.

YES! Go for it! My hair is super healthy now that I've had dreads for over 5 years and use all natural products on my hair.

I need a bit of help.. I have synthetic dreads. And they are sticking together.. HELP what can I do
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
Hello there darling. First off, thank you for following my channel and viewing my video. As for the sticking together of your synthetic dreads...I would recommend separating them apart on a regular basis and especially after washing is key! Also pay attention to how often you are washing them and what products you are using. I hope this is helpful and please reach out again if you need additional advice. Good luck to you on your journey!

So want to bleach my dreads now but worried that it will damage my dreads as natural hair is dark brown
@HippieHousewife3 жыл бұрын
Just take it one step at a time. Slowly lighten your dreads/hair one session at a time, making sure to follow all directions along the way. I also recommend taking 1 week in between sessions of bleaching to assure limited hair damage possibilities. Example: Bleach 1 session then replenish hair/dreads with nourishment while waiting for the next week to do the next session of bleaching. Make sense? Those 1 week breaks in between make sure to replenish your hair/dreads with additional Vitamin E oils and moisturizing elements to keep hair/dreads healthy and thriving. Good luck love. Xoxo
