When the power wire is getting connected to the tattoo gun, do the wires need to be in a certain direction, positive/negative wise? I bought a machine, without instructions, and I'm finding conflicting information on KZfaq. I don't want to burn anything up. Also, how do you determine which machine is linework vs, shading? Thank you for your time!

Firstly if you are gonna do tattoos and wanna be in a shop do not call it a GUN it's disrespectful to the trade. It's a tattoo machine

@HippieHousewife
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
Hello there darling. First off, thank you for following my channel and viewing my video. As for the sticking together of your synthetic dreads...I would recommend separating them apart on a regular basis and especially after washing is key! Also pay attention to how often you are washing them and what products you are using. I hope this is helpful and please reach out again if you need additional advice. Good luck to you on your journey!

I'm in the process of combing out my 7yo dreads it's not going great, here for a morale boost.
@HippieHousewife
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
Oh goodness me, yes that can be a challenge in itself. My dreadlocks are also 7 years old and I used to have a full set and am now slightly "partial." I will tell you this...it takes OODLES of patience and time put in to combing them out. I recommend using a fine comb, some sort of "lube" such as oils (olive. almond, grapeseed etc) and understanding that it is indeed going to take time to slowly pick them out, comb through and while using the oils to help soften the "knots" if you will. I hope this information was helpful and if you need additional tips or help, please feel free to reach out. Good luck to you!

Do u think it's possible to do partial Dreads on a good Lace front long wig?
@HippieHousewife
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
I would love to help you in this situation but I do not work with wigs, nor synthetic dreadlocks, only natural hair and extensions... but if I had to give advice on the subject I would say that...yes it is possible to make dreadlocks within your wig and I would section portions off just as I would someone's actual hair/head. You can create them just the same by rubber banding them into sections and back combing the sections then weaving the loose hairs into place by using a crochet hook. I hope this information was helpful and please feel free to reach out again. I would love to help where ever I am able to do so.

I've started out with partial dreads. while the dreads are maturing, the loose top hair tries to knot in with the dreads, so it hurts pulling them apart. I have to constantly pull them apart and make sure my normal hair is brushed.
@HippieHousewife
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
Yes I do understand this process for sure and agree 100%! It also depends on the type of hair texture that you have and how often you need to separate the maturing dreadlocks to make sure they do not knot up and interlock with one another. Good luck to you and I hope that you have found a good remedy and routine at this point to help!

Do you take the rubber band out when done?
@HippieHousewife
@HippieHousewife Жыл бұрын
Yes indeed I do. I usually like to keep the rubber bands in for a few days after installing the new dreadlocks. Just in order to keep them separated and from conjoining together, After that I remove the rubber bands when feeling confident enough that the dreadlocks are on their way and will stay in tact and separated from one another.

First off, maybe learn how to speak, type and conduct yourself in a respectful manor...might be a good start in the right direction. Its not complicated. Its pretty simple actually. Basic steps...follow visual and instructions. If you don't like what you see and find that its not helpful, then figure it out for yourself perhaps? You clearly looked up this video because you couldn't piece it together otherwise.

Thank you for this! I agree that partials are a great choice. My hair is fine and curly, so the dreads give nice volume, and more style options... I do find, because my loose hair is curly, that the dreads are kind of like velco to my hair, and I have to be mindful about separating it out or they get tangled together. I also do use separate products, because my loose hair has different needs. Overall, any new routines became habits quickly, and it is so worth it. Your dreads are lovely!
