Your husband could build a small, but cute garden home and people, like me, could come pay money to stay (Vacation) on your farm and watch your animals and see how a working farm is :) I would LOVE to see your farm animals. Sounds wonderful!!!!! And you could make money!!!

I think that's a wonderful ideal. If you do, be sure to have the proper insurance coverage because they're people that make a living from finding ways to sue others.

My parents, when they first married, lived in a literal trailer house set on my grandmothers land. Thats where they lived when i was born. After that they moved to live in the upstairs of my Dads grandparents home, which looked rather like a southern mansion with pillars and all, after that my Dad was finally able to buy a 2 bedroom 1 bath home on 8 acres in Michigan (which is where his ancestors moved from Germany) We lived there many years, thats where my 3 brothers were born. When i was 15 we moved to an old farmhouse on 40 acres which was my Dads uncles place, right down the same country road where his Dads farm was. Dad spent a long time remodeling the old farmhouse and my parents lived there the rest of their lives. Shortly after my Dad died and the farm was sold, the old, over 100 year farmhouse burned to where nothing was left. Very sad.

I Love Love Love your story!! Blueberries bushes put some pebbles under the bushes before you plant. I used the pebbles that come off of a flat roof. And mix with soil. I never have to water mine because the rain comes and the pebble and soil/ dirt keeps them watered. On top of that I used old shingles to use as a topper then added mulch. My fiancé owned a roofing company before he passed away so we used a lot of scraps and it worked. I hope this helps you guys to give it a try.

Thank youuuu soooo much! BECAUSE I WAS STRUGGLING! My blue berry plants all died 😩 and it was from lack of water! I’m sad about it but I’m going to try again for sure 🤍🥰

@@bastarricafamilyfarm this was all free also, I figure if your husband does construction, he will most likely know some roofers. They throw this stuff away. So it is very budget friendly. I was raising my 3 children alone at the time and I know that God sent him for me and my kids when they were young. That was over 15 years ago when I placed my doublewide that I purchased ( 1985 Redman mobile home 24x60) repo with no windows😀 no AC bad floors, holes in every wall mobile home so I could house my children on some Land I had before I got married. God has never left me. He had a plan and I am so grateful. This man was a father to my children when their Dad was not. Now that our children are older and after my fiancée passing I prayed for their Dad to be a Dad to them again as adults and in their own homes now. And God did this for them. I know prayer works. You know it does too. It does me so good to see God at work so thank you so much for sharing your journey. I miss my fiancé, he was also my best friend. Diabetes sucks. That is what his health problems began. I continue to repair and grow in my garden. I just needed to comment because I need your homestead to have some beautiful blueberries:-) I thank you for sharing and I have learned so much from your channel. I keep praying that your husband finds a double wide that he does work on that has corner fireplace in living room and corner dishwasher kitchen because I have that and I want to get rid of it to make more room in those areas:-)

Love this, reminds of THE WAY I GREW UP!!!!! KEEP IT UP❗❗❗Our Folk planted n grew EVERYTHING, including peach trees, apple trees, n all veggies n of course they had chickens, pigs,cows etc. In my dad's day they made their own MEAL grinded it.

You guys are both such hard workers! Not only is your husband very talented but you are too! You both have exquisite taste in home furnishings, flooring, lighting, tile and paint colors. Everything is gorgeous! Bravo to you for finding a way to get and create a BEAUTIFUL home together! My husband and I also took the harder but more rewarding path way back in the 80's by building our own house on our land. People thought we were crazy because we were in our mid 20's but we did it and then raised our 6 children here on our little farm. Many blessings to your family and again, GREAT JOB!

I just found your channel and I am so overwhelmed by your talent and your skills both of you are amazing. I love your taste in furniture and your style absolutely stunning . I bought a small house 17 years ago and have been renovating it for the last 10 years one room at a time by myself along with running a business myself and raising two boys. My boys have moved on to their own lives and homes now and I am continuing my journey and watching people like you inspires me to keep going . I love your comment. I hope you're still working on your home. My husband and I also remodeled every house we lived in and this one was a complete top to bottom remod. I learned how to do electrical work and was even able to pass inspections. My husband is great at tiling, laying floors, and we both mud and sand drtwall. I do all the trim work, he does windows. It's so possible! I'm a woman, and a small one so strength comes with the desire to do it. Bless you and your project.

Hi. Just found your channel. I love everything you have done. What an incredible life you've created. Your home is beautiful. We just paid $187k for a double in a park in Oregon. We've since had to pay $40k to hire help with repairs because of a lousy inspector. We have several thousand more to put into replacing floors. We were badly taken. It's asinine compared to your journey. You made fantastic choices. I hope it makes you even that much more proud of your accomplishments. I look forward to watching more.

I especially love your bedroom, it's stunning and looks like it was professionally decorated. That bed!!! Everything is so beautiful, it makes ME proud, and I don't even know you!! Lol! One of my biggest pet peeves is the whole stigma of owning and living in a mobile home; people look down on those of us who PROUDLY own and occupy a mobile HOME. It's often assumed that we are less than everyone else. I wish everyone who has that assumption could see your home; it would quickly show them that they can be beautiful, and make a wonderful home to live in and be proud of. You two have certainly gone a long way in showing that they can be beautiful!
