Radeon HD 7770 vs Nvidia GTX 560 ti in 9 GAMES 2018
Radeon's HD 7770 and Nvidia's GTX 560 ti are both available for around the same price £30/$40 on the secondhand market.
Both only have 1GB of Vram, but can they still game in 2018?
So I put the Radeon HD 7770 and Nvidia GTX 560 ti through their paces in 9 of the latest titles including Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG), Fortnite, Overwatch, Rise of the Tomb Raider (ROTTR), CSGO, Destiny 2, Prey 2017, Shadow of War and Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V).
The time stamp for each game tested are as follows:

If any of you guys can still get a GTX 570 for £30 then it is the best choice at this price bracket. Unfortunately when I went to get a GTX 570 their prices had skyrocketed to £40 - £45. When you're at £45 guys then the GTX 670 is the best choice for a mere £5 more. These commonly go for £50 on eBay.

and btw the gtx 570 isn't the best to get, cos of the power consumption, i say the best option right now is a gtx 560 ti 448 or 2gb edition for a gpu under £45, and high framerates matter more than graphics, i would rather have 1080p ultra settings 60 fps or beyond rather than 4k ultra settings 30fps or lower

Yet another good companion video, well done! I'd definitely try to get a GTX 570 if possible. It seems as though they can go for around that £30 price mark as well, especially considering it's larger amount of VRAM

I played on a HD 6650 1GB for 7 years, this was an awful card, in comparison those cards are amazing.

I have a 7770, I can run basically anything from up to 2016 no problems, newer games have to be set to medium or low. I'll only upgrade when the gpu prices go back to normal

a friend owns a 7970GHz Edition, and couldn't play Baldur's Gate 3 at all.He got white lines and blurry graphics all over the place. Nvidia cards get better optimization than AMD at the end of the day, and honestly, if you're getting an old card, you want it to be as well optimized as possible.

@@juicecan6450 there is no support for such an old cards anymore, so if new games use some new features cards can struggle. in general support for nv and amd is mostly the same and bugs can happen on any

@@mirage8753 Nvidia's had a better track record with their cards though. the 7970 may have sucked but i don't think the GTX 680 which came out at the same time has these issues with Baldur's Gate. As for direct X support, it can be emulated if your card is too old for the game

@@juicecan6450 but still no issue in many other games. might be some problem in the game intself. tbh i dont see a reason to keep such an old card for so long, its something around 1050ti level but with way higher power consumption. since all cards are overpriced atm it might be a good move to sell it high if you have some replacement

Hello! you are the same person that talk on of My Life In Gaming? Good grafics! y buy one 7770 for 25€ but... presents artifact on boot and not reconized the Catalyst drivers... only work on 800x600 if change to more resolution crash and restar windows XP :( is not too much hot on the GPU... what is the problem? thanks! Is for a Retro PC to play olds RTS on original hardware, except the 7770 and SSD... :)

just found a 560 ti out the scrap bin i use it in waiting of a water pump to get my water loop back i must say it is a cool little video card 60 fps in bf3 high setting wasn`t expecting this ! just to say this gpu only have 1 gb of vram

super old cards. in 2015 i decided to change my HD6770 to r9 380 3GB after playing witcher 3 which required more than 1GB vram. my HD6770 is still alive but barely can run anything new, but can play old games at least

Gtx 560ti was competitor to hd 7850 2gb not 7770.It's 250$ card vs 160$ card.

Seems like the 560ti is a good priced card for budget games and some higher end gaming.

Preachers Games Yea I was surprised at it's performance considering it's really old and only has 1GB of Vram. The GTX 570/580 would be even better if you can get one for £30/$40.

Those two arent comparable. 7770 is 100 watt graphic and 560ti is 150 and more. You need to compare 550ti vs 7770 bcz 550ti is 100watt... here radeon wins i think

Very nice video! Well done! The gtx 560ti really can stretch it legs cuite far. Btw mabye u should consider downgrading the testbench. I think the skylake i5 6600k oc. Is a bit to much to pair with the budget cards u have tested so far. I get the point that u will iliminate any possible cpu bottleneck. But dude to be fair. NO ONE is going to pair lets say a gtx 560ti, in this case with a i5 6600k oc. Mabye try to get a used i5 ivy bridge or the first gen intels cpus or something? Something a bit older that 2016 hardware. Otherwise great video mate! Btw i just bought myself a gtx 590 for 80 dollars shipped. Pritty good deal! See ya. Keep up the great work.

IntoPC Thanks man. Yea I see your point though the 6600K is unlikely to be paired with these graphics cards but I just wanted to give them their best shot. I've got a Xeon old school processor coming in the next month to test hopefully it'll be a bit better than my horrible Q6600.

I play GTA 5 on 7770. And if I choose 1080p and medium textures it show me warning about video memory: used 1.5Gb from 1Gb available. And when I drive fast in highly detailed places the game start freezing every 5-10 second for 0.5-2 seconds.

Knuckles #2761 GTA V is also a very CPU intensive game I was using the i5 6600K OC'd to 4.6Ghz to remove any bottle necks in this test if you check out it's performance on my Q6600 video you'll the difference is night and day.

Я считаю что лучше купить HD 7770,так как она не затратна по бп, а вот 560ти просит 2 по 6,пин,и потребление ого-го, ещё и греется как печка в простых играх, не советую вообще покупать видеокарты от нвидиа ниже 750 поколения

Mega X喷 should be fine dude, if you check my ram usage on csgo on the q6600 + HD 7770 video I did, medium settings 1080p it was using under 4GB of DDR 2.

usssmart doofus due to mining the GTX 750 ti is also selling for around £50-£60 most places I've looked. At £50 I would see if I could snag a GTX 670.
