Every RV manufacturer should have this equipment standard. It’s ridiculous for the customer to have to go back and do the very things that should’ve been done during the manufacturing. 🥵

I agree. Unfortunately the manufacturer would likely put in the cheapest option available and you’d be upgrading it anyways.

So change the plug to a flat style plug. If you built your own cord and you are happy with it , don’t chuck the surge protector, the plug style is cheap!

Your average RV owner does not know how to change out the cord that came with your RV or the cord they bought for something that has a flat plug. They would have to buy a brand new cord. The point of this type of video is the show whatever I can to help people make a decision when purchasing something. Thank you for watching.

You recommend against this because the cover won't close. But the comparable Progressive PSK-30 doesn't even come with a cover, and it's 2.5x the cost. Apples to apples, this does not appear to be a bad item. And my cord doesn't have the grab handle, so it should fit with the cover closed.

You do know that your homemade 30a cord is vastly insufficient to handle 30a 120v power, don't you??

It’s just for one AC it’s rated for 20 amp. I just had to put that end on it temporarily.

@@WhyNotRV might want to make those limitations clear in your videos. I just subscribed but if I see things like that with no comments made as to their limitations of use, it brings questions about everything else you may say or do. Short version... don't let anything invite doubt in your knowledge.
