You'd be amazed how long those belts last, I finally replaced the belt on my old shop fan because it was too loose to tension and it was disintegrating before my very eyes, replaced it with a Gated Power Rated belt, the green one, and it works better than it has in a long time, I also got a severely neglected Mobilaire from the same guy, still works, but it'll get wire brushed, primed, repainted, and rewired when I have time, it's got the older, better motor that isn't known for shorted windings, and despite being used in a horse barn its entire life after I oiled the bearings and ran it for awhile it runs like new again, the old blower looks to be a LAU rebranded as a Lennox with a 1/6hp GE motor that's a tad undersized

I saw several of these mounted on the ceiling of an antique mall a couple of years ago.

I enjoyed watching this video! It would be a good idea to add a simple grid on both sides (such as what is in chicken coops. they can be anchored with an angled metal profile), to avoid unexpected surprises...

I think a new belt would help maximize the airflow. I mean, not that its necessary but still...
