I don't know how it works in Illinois, but, in general, the "marital privilege" statute means that you cannot be compelled or made to testify against your spouse. However, if you are willing to testify voluntarily, you're free to do so.

My god the audio makes this unbearable to watch... But also i have already wasted my time on the part 1 of this episode, which ended in a cliffhanger so now i'm watching this part 2 because i wanna know what the goddamn end result was in this case. The part 1 was already pain in the ass trying to hear what the narrator says, but i thought "Well i can make it, since it's just an 50 minute episode" but noooo.

The music is at an intrusive level because they have sourced this episode from an illegitimate uploader who has tried to avoid a copyright claim by adding interference. I thought Real Crime was an authorised channel but they are shady.

If you can't hear what's being said, it's a sign that you're going deaf or you've got some major wax build up going on. I know this because I can hear everything that's being said just fine, so clearly it's not an issue with the video's audio.
