It wasn’t for much later, after the Peloponnesian war that Greek life as it was there was dissolved by the Macedonians. The Iranians were the Persians and medised most of Greece destroying Athens but were then defeated at salamis and platea and driven out of Greece creating a golden age we know as the classical era producing poetry, sculptures, temples and art that we recognise as Greek today.
