As a Spartan who can trace my family tree back to the 1500s watching this scene wakes up something in me so deep. Η ΤΑΝ Η ΕΠΙ ΤΑΣ. We live in a society so far removed from these values. And I think this type of heroism speaks to everyone. A part of us who wish to stand up for what is noble and honorable. When you don’t fear death you can carry your honor and face down your enemies without compromise.

Lol. Sitting one day and heard voices roaring this in my back yard. Went to investigate, and found my son and nephews savagely attacking the box thorn that grew along the fence . Awesome battle. Kids had some battle scars but that viciously sharp thorn bush was a dismembered carcass.. 💪💪👊😂😂. Sparta lives.

@@behnam289 it’s not actually. Sure it over exaggerates things but at this time 480 BC the Spartans and Athenians along with their allies fought the Persians and their allies and won. It wasn’t for much later, after the Peloponnesian war that Greek life as it was there was dissolved by the Macedonians. The Iranians were the Persians and medised most of Greece destroying Athens but were then defeated at salamis and platea and driven out of Greece creating a golden age we know as the classical era producing poetry, sculptures, temples and art that we recognise as Greek today.
