300 CARS MERCEDES HEAVEN! The World's Greatest 80s-90s AMG and Tuned-Benz Collection

Welcome to Mercedes paradise at the @PatinaCollective! We're visiting the number 1 80s-90s AMGs and Mercedes-Benz tuner cars collection on the planet. Join me with Vico and Daniel from the Patina Collective for a tour of this private collection with 300+ Mercedes-Benz cars!
We get started for the tour with our hosts in the main display room featuring some extraordinary machinery; multiple 190 Evo IIs including one previously owned by Jamiroquai, an SL73 built for the Brunei Royal Family, plenty of Koenig Specials, a 500 SEC wearing the nose of a 600 Pullman, and so many more. Considering the vast array and mix of cars, there's nobody better to show us around than the founders and owners of The Patina Collective.
However, that's not all, as we also need to head over to the Stadium, home to in excess of 150 cars in a temporary facility before it will be time to open a full museum to showcase all of these incredible machines. It's here we have the Hammer, an R63, two pick-ups, plenty more ABC Specials, Koenig Specials, cars from Gemballa, Brabus, RENNtech and so many more. I have honestly never seen anything like it!
I cannot thank Vico and Daniel enough for their time and openness to allow the full collection to be showcased in this way. This is just the start for the @PatinaCollective and the future is going to be very, very exciting! I saw so many of those Stratton cars when they were born in Wilmslow Cheshire. Stratton were the sole UK concessionaire for AMG (When the three letters actually meant something) Ron will be looking down on his babies with pride. RIP Ron Stratton the legend.

In my childhood, I learned something that became be my guideline for life. I ask my Unkle, who used to have a Mercedes Benz W 100, We call that one the Horse Head model cause the front lights were positioned vertically one over the other. I ask him Question, what car brand is the best in the world? He answered:" There are two brands in the world, Mercedes Benz and everything else!" I pile some good examples proven through time. I have included my collection. 2x W124 E300D, 1994 and 1995, 2xML 500 W163 2003 and 2004, two W140 500SEL 1993, and 300 SD 1993 ,one W126 420SL,1989 with implanted 5l, V8 engine from W140, from 1993, I am immensely happy despite, some friends asking me, why I need so many Mercedeses? I answer the following way: " Some people like alcohol, some drugs, some clothes, some shoes, I like Mercedes cars and motorcycles. Es ist ein verrücktes Auto.

I feel lucky to have gone to Affalterbach for a 3 hour AMG tour pre-Mercedes merger. What a place that was! They were building several Brunei cars as well as cars for tennis players Thomas Muster and Boris Becker. A Chinese customer had sent them her lipstick to color match all the leather and paint. AMG could truly do anything the customer wanted back then.

When he talks about the gold car at 13:34, I'm familiar with SGS. It stands for "Styling Garage". There was articles in Road&Track back in the 80's about these. I love 80's tuner cars, they were so very creative and extravagant. These are exactly the cars I would buy if I had the money. Thanks.

The Princess Diana 1000 SEL is immaculate! I have never seen anything like it. I would change the floor mats when driving it, but I would definitely put that machine on the road. Great video. Shmee one upped himself :)

5:29 this particular “widebody” C124 has “VITT” widebody kit (NLA) that was produced by Japanese tuning company “VITT” back in ~2007. Back in the days this Japanese company was manufacturing and selling the kits not only for w124s, but also w129s etc..and in 2007 I ordered this widebody kit myself for my c124 back in 2007 (cost me a fortune) and later in 2020 I sold it to a guy from Moscow. What is more, I have photos of this particular “VITT” w124 when it arrived in the the U.K. and before it was slightly modified by its next owner in the U.K. who actually sold it recently to Patina team.. Very nice car abs memories. I’m glad to know this car is now in Florida❤ Update: P.S. This car never came with “amg affalterback” bonnet badge which you can see in the video, it had “VITT” badge..suppose it was added at a later stage in the U.K..😊

Just when I thought I already saw the extent of Vico’s knowledge he goes many MANY times beyond that with this video. I especially liked when he said,” it’s a lifestyle. How do you know how many breathes you’ve taken?” That statement said it all. I said earlier tonight he should put together a calendar but I actually think an encyclopaedia is more appropriate. A calendar would need to showcase 10 cars/ day to scratch the surface. 👍

Tim,i think maybe these gents might not realize the extent of your youtube career. it was mentioned you might not see one in the wild. he probably doest know you have been to 97% of every tuning house that are reprnsented here. those patina dudes a top literally top notch dudes but yo being very humble probably didnt tell them your history. i loved the euro tours, watch them often being the biggest RUF fanatic on earth. you have been to the garden and saw where the brabus cars they love were born. even cooler you have been to al those factories multiple times. they also might not have known you had an r3 renntech years ago. i just dont know if they realized just how much of a legend Shmee really is. very large legend and a role model fr car people youtubers everywhere. thnk you and cheers

Well, they looked just like I imagined. Except they spoke English a lot better than expected. I appreciate them giving so much time for us from their busy taxi driving schedule. I can only imagine the smell of cigarettes, cheap cologne and sweat coming from those cars. I guess for most of those cars they have yet to install that wind deflector thingy to the driver window. And those guys must use strong sun screen on their arm as one arm isn't much more tanned than the other.
