Update, I decided to fork out the extra 100$ (129$ -10% code + 20$ mrb leave this at 99.99$) and get a GPU. I noticed that Newegg had a quick sale on XFX rx 570 4gb’s. This now meant that I could go with a cpu that no longer had integrated graphics. So I went with the best price per performance cpu I could find (that will LAST (1)) I scrapped the r3 2200g and went for the Ryzen 5 2600 for (119.99$). This left my build at (445.14$) and will result in massively improving the performance of my build. 1) what I meant by ‘“last” is the r5 2600 future proof my build alittle better my giving me the option of simply replacing my GPU in the future for some bonus notable performances. All my parts arrive Thursday !! Super excited

Just to let you know, I did this build back in December of 2019, and it was awesome. I was able to get most games to run fine with some weird exceptions. I went for more RAM initially and went a little over budget. If anyone is looking for a good first upgrade, I'd say get a RTX 580, 8GB GPU that's hovering around $170 new.

Well, that exact build would be pretty high on such a list for one. The socket on that motherboard would allow you to upgrade to pretty much any other Ryzen CPU short of a Threadripper, upgrading to 16GB of RAM is also possible by buying a second copy of the same kit, and you can buy a GPU without having to throw out the old one because this build uses integrated graphics in the first place.

Definately, next build is a $250 used part build(using normal rates anyone could get. No deal hunting.) It can play and stream at the same time fortnite, PUBG, R6S, and CSGO. As you said, I recommend you buy used hardware at this price point. I got a really good PC for around 300$ used. CPU: i5-3470 - 40$ GPU: GTX-960 4GB - 82$ RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz - 60$ MOBO: AsRock H61M - 32$ PSU: Chieftec 600w Smart - 26$ Case: MasterBox 3.1 Lite - 45$ Storage: WD Blue 1TB - 40$ Total: 325$ The i5-3470 and the GTX-960 make a good pair. Basically no bottleneck (0.26% according to Bottleneck Calculator). 16GB of RAM is more than enough for average use, and you can easily put it into an old case for free, and use the remaining for more storage/SSD.

Its so hard to find a case that looks decent for under $30 these days, which is always what ends up ruining my wonderful ryzen 5 1600 AF build ideas that end up coming up to around $320 without a case

Hey I already have a graphics card. A Rx 480. So that's one thing I don't have to worry about when building mine. So I could just get a CPU and not a APU what CPU would you recommend with the same budget you used.

There's an easier, cheaper way. I got on Amazon and bought a Dell Optiplex 990 for $120. I increased the RAM 8 additional gigs for $20, 500 gb for $65, and a 2 gb graphics card for $45. I only do retro gaming on it no problem. I bought the graphics card so I can run an HDMI cable to my TV. Didn't need to upgrade the case, CPU, power supply, or anything else.

Depends on the budget. You can get a gtx 770 for 50£ or 65$ with solid performance. And for around 75£ or 100$ you can pick up a gtx 970 4gb. The gtx 770 (65$) is similar to 1050 ti (120$) in performance and the 970 (100$) similar to a 1060 3gb (150$) in performance.
