A lot of people just don't know how big it is to see an interview like this coming from a couple of real Eastsiders. That Central corridor was and is really rough, and that's from Washington and all the way to Imperial. Especially from Washington to 92nd Street. It's always been that way, so to see these brothers hashing it up and coming together with that positivity, it's truly inspiring and monumental. My family started on 43rd & Ascot in the early 1920's, and we're still in properties right off of Central. So, keep it Eastside, and keep it positive👊👊👊

This is what the younger generation of guys need to look at as an example. Instead of competition, make it a mission to gain knowledge, wisdom & understanding for one another. Every other race/ethnicity can put petty business to the side for the empowerment of their people. They push for a greater cause. It's time for our community to not follow suit, but lead the campaign. It's time. God Bless the brothers.

It’s really surreal hearing these OG’s talk about their time, they’re living time capsules, and products of their time, and it’s crazy to think about how much has changed from their time to now. I used to think there were no old gangbangers before this channel, but these dudes are living proof. And a lot of em got sage advice, and experiences to share, really great to hear these perspectives from a group of people some no nothing about, while others live it everyday. As someone who isn’t about gangbanging, it’s enlightening to hear these guys out and where they come from to really understand how things are for people in these kinds of environments.

I’m from Baltimore too ova east. we didn’t have red or blue gangs but we had warring neighborhoods and and the whole east side vs west side vs south side thing...these days it’s good to be able to days days just about go anywhere you want without something happen to you because they don’t know you and you ain’t from here or there. Lot of those wars ceased. (Hood wise the Crips and bloods are a different thing) Now it’s nothing to see east side guys going ova west and west side dudes ova east. We all work at different jobs together

Mike Paige the blood and crip thing is bad but not as bad as not being able to go anywhere you had to be careful where you was at lol for example... I saw two young bloods caught this other young guy they didn’t know who had a red towel hanging out his pocket. They walked up on him it was three to one and they surrounded him and then they started talking the young dude they surrounded said something to them and did a handshake and they let him pass... back in the day if you was caught outta bounds there was nothing you could say or no handshake to save you lol you was just caught

You are a youngin when I was banging 5-Tray Avalon in 1972 to 1974. 4'Tray CRIPS (Black Johnny;s bunch back in my day), 4-Deuce, Avalon 40's didn't exist back in the early 70's. Steve Dickerson was leader of the Outlaws back around 1971. Nonetheless glad to see the homies making it right nowadays so Nipsey's vision can come to Fruition. Good Job, Alex, you have made this a life's work. Hard to believe 45 years past since I was in that nonproductive environment. Hard to believe grown men gangbanging in their30's, 40's and 50's. We banged at 13 to 18 for the most part in my day.
