McChickens are bomb. Used to be $1 each. But still a cheap option. Little caesars $5 pizza saved me and my friend tons of money. Hot dogs from Costco saved me so much money to use on gas.

If a $1 is a slider, that is no deal, it would take at least 5-6 to even come close to filling someone up. Get dollar burgers from Rally's or Mcdonalds. A lot more filling.

I actually prefer the hot dog combo at Sam’s. You also get a 32 oz drink instead of the smaller 20 oz drink. Also, their rotisserie chicken is pretty good.

32oz vs 20oz, doesn't make much difference when it can be easily refilled. I'll have to try the hot dog, though. If it's anything under 2.50 as a combo, that's still pretty good value.

when mcdonalds has the mcdoubles on sale, i get 2 of them, throw away the bottom buns and put them together to make a mcquad :) the 4 patties and 2 slices of cheese are just right, and i like the extra pickles and onions.

That is unfortunate. What was great about Wendy's Chili was that chili Sauce and Saltine Crackers were free. When I was a broke college student, I always asked for a few extra packs of sauce and crackers. The chili was already filling, but enough crackers could literally fill you up the entire day. Here's hoping when the Pandemic is over, you'll get your Wendy's back. Also I'm sure you've lost lots of great mom n pop shops so hope they come back as well.

The cinnamon crunch bagel at Panera is amazing. Heat it at home in the toaster and put butter (not margarine) on it and it's just like a hot cinnamon roll. So darn good.

Wawa has the best foods they have hoagies(subs), quesadillas, Mac and cheese, soups, wraps, salads, the BEST coffees, icys, breakfast sandwiches, and so so so much more it’s literally my favorite place to go especially if I’m on the road or in a rush and need quick food 😌✨

If the food courts are indoors. The one here in La Mesa is outside the store, and even though I'm a member, I have never been asked for my card. That might have something to do with local regs, Idk.

Try "Masala Dosas" stuffed with curried bits of soft potatoes. I love Indian, Thai, Malaysian, Persian cooking. Beautiful and healthy! Don't eat this junk food crap...all our chicken and beef tastes and looks scarey now. Somethings not right. Beware!

Pro Tip: Buy a McDouble and McChicken, throw away McChicken bottom bun (or feed to dog) and combine into an awesome cheap sandwich! You're in for less than $3 total. Technically, its called a gang bang, but you probably don't want to order it that way at the window.

@Kevin O I totally agree. My wife and I rarely ate out pre-Covid and haven't had anything but home cooked meals for over six months. The gang bang trick was useful when out and about and needing something quick and filling and cheap (although certainly not healthy)! I maybe had it 1-2 X/year.

The best method is to season the boiling water when the leftovers are being sanitized. Pinch of salt , pepper and oregano with some lemon juice stirring with the meat will make it stand out more. Some people request hit sauce with the chilli. The salt recommendations are sea salt not ionized salt. The fresh as possible ground pepper is better. The oregano is in a bag that will allow flavour to pass through but won’t leak the leaves in the pan.

Instead of crappy unhealthy fast food, I’ll get a bag of black beans, rice, cabbage, onion, eggs, chicken and ground beef. For less than $12, I’ll have 6-8 healthy meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for two days!
