I have never once had a Muncho that tasted like a dirty potato with a cardboard texture. Ever. They've always been good. I do, however, approve of you giving Cape Cod such a high ranking.

Tim’s chips, a northwest brand are my favorite by far. Very crispy, like a Kettle Brand, but with a fresh, not over cooked flavor.

Are used to drive a semi. It was a time factories are more open. I remember picking up at the chip company can’t remember the name. But I do remember that the chips that I purchased in the store were not memorable. They were crunchy, salty, but did not have all the complex of the flavors that I like in a potato chip. They were not potatoey. In the factory I was given a bag, a plain paper bag, full of those chips just off the conveyor belt. They were absolute heaven. Everything you look at for in a potato chip. What I have discovered is that a lot of products you buy that are processed our wonderful, only if you get it the day that they were made at the factory. By the time you get it and it’s available to you, the product has changed. I found this to be true with shortbread cookies, cupcakes, muffins, and a variety of different snack foods. The problem is preserving all the flavors and keeping it from going stale.

Good's from Pa. are the best chips. UTZ second best. It's hard to take this video serious when they include Pringles which are not potato chips. They don’t actually include potatoes. Instead, they’re made with something called “dehydrated processed potato.” They also contain corn, rice and wheat.

Lays is the wonder bread of chips. No one buys Lays to eat themselves, but they're always out at parties to give to other people. Pringles were highly overrated on this list. They do have lots of flavors, but the non-potatoness of them make you tire of them easily. Doritos Flamas #1!

Great to see Cape Cod so high up on the list, where it belongs. It truly is the apex of kettle cooked chips. If you can find them, GET THEM.

Sun Chips are not gross. I love them in small doses. I like Mashed videos better than those from others like Babbletop because Mashed focuses on the product(s) with promotional materials, etc instead of random clips that have nothing to do with the subject.

I grew up in western Canada eating Old Dutch chips. They are pretty much my go to for a plain ripple chip but for flavours I like Miss Vicky’s, Kettle Chips and Ruffles. Yum!

Cape Cod's best chip is their Russet. They use high-sugar potatoes so that every chip comes out dark golden brown.

I remember Wise potato chips from a very long time ago. They were greasy but tasty and Lays weren't around then. The slogan was, "Not all potato chips are Wise. Wise owl on the bag Plus they were just 10 cents.

Also had a new bag of Lay's I had bought the night before (cousin living in MN) sent me several boxes of the Old Dutch Potato Chips. Not a single person liked Lay's but everyperson who sampled both Potato chips enjoyed the Old Dutch! Later, worked for the Sheriff's Dept Orange County Ca., as the Range Clerk. Did the same test & not a single person cared for Lay's but all enjoyed Old Dutch potato chips! Suggest Y'all check out Old Dutch Potato chips Minnesota!

I used to be Lays potato 🥔 chip lady….and if I’m on the go, they’re great! But at 38, I’m really into Cape Cod Chips and they’re now my favorite potato chip brand!!! Theyir flavor, value, crunch, perfectly balanced potato flavor and salt and quality are unmatched!!!!! So delicious!

Clancy’s Chips are awesome and worth a trip to Aldi’s on it’s own. They are delicious and remind me of how chips tasted when I was a kid...a little bit more salt. Herr’s has the very best cheese doodles on the market. They are, by far, the cheesiest.

It's funny, I bought a bag of Munchos on my road trip this week and it's the first bag of those I bought in many years. I am really diggin' them! The thumbnail picture looks like them and I thought oh, they picked them as the best. I start to watch...At the bottom of the list is Munchos. Second bottom are Sunchips (another favorite of mine.)

Anyone remember Cains Potato Chips from the 70s and 80s I think they we're bought out by frito lay brand year's ago some of those brand's you showed I've never really heard of

For a thin crisp chip I still like Lays. Great chips and good flavors. I prefer the thicker chips. They just have more chew to them. My two favorites are Tim's Cascade chips, very crunchy and in a plethora of flavors. Lately I've been eating a chip called Miss Vickies, It's thick and very crunchy and as near as I can tell they come in five flavors with a pretty good jalapeno flavor that isn't all that hot but you'll never have to ask what flavor it is.

Every time a bag of Lays is opened a sad trombone plays.

Being the UK, I've not seen many of these brands - we have Walker's as our UK equivalent of Lay's but I find the flavours/textures of Walker's quite disappointing even if it is by far the biggest selling UK crisp brand. The UK has Doritos obviously but I find them quite dry myself (hence the salsa dip they also sell is a neccessity, but means I can't really eat them on the move!). Pringles are also in the UK, but most of the flavours are "meh" - sour cream & onion plus Texas BBQ are probably the only redeeming ones. We have Kettle Chips too in the UK, but I've never found a flavour in their range that I liked! In the UK, my favourite crisp brand is Golden Wonder - the crisps have a nice texture and the flavours are both tasty and strong. Salt'n'Vinegar (blue bag) and Pickled Onion (purple bag) are probably the two big standouts for me. The only "flavour" I won't touch (of any brand of crisp) is ready salted - who wants plain crisps with no actual flavour? Not me!

This was a hunger inducing video !!! The title made me think it was gonna be a bunch of people from the MASHED staff trying the chips and commenting on them kinda like the videos from the THE TRY CHANNEL or my own channels videos !!!! RUFFLES are probably my favorite chips !!!! I havent had UTZ or ZAPPS or CAPE COD as they are NOT available in Canada.

When I was a young kid Lays chips were good and suddenly they changed and for about 5 yrs they were all basically burned. That's when my Mom discovered Charles Chips in the round metal can. Then places quit selling them and about the same time Lays got their act back together. I recently noticed Cracker Barrel sells them in their shop area, but the price was stupid high.

I knew it wouldn't be on this list, but the Norwegian Sørland Chips Creme Freche is the best chip I've ever had. When they went on sale, I would buy 8 or 10 bags at a time.

i kid you not. The besst Frito lays chips, are the ones in the smallest bags. They used to sell for "three for a dollar." the smallest chips that fit inside the small bags, have more flavor.

For kettle style Cape Cod and Old Dutch Kettle are fantastic (Kettle brand is also very good). For non-kettle style UTZ is great. The "North Caroline BBQ" and "Crab Chips" are awesome. I have no idea how Wise got so high up this list. Tim's out in the western USA were phenominal when I had them. The Wasabi and Jalapeno flavors were fantastic. Very strange list.
