They used simulacrums for phase pilots too because it was dangerous for a human to phase as you see what it did to wraith and how octane gets damaged from stim cause it’s high amount in something that could be lethal to the average human that’s why they used simulacrums for those things.

This is also confirmed in the game, because you can see human pilots use phase shift to get into the dropship or their Titans, You can also see them using phase shift and stim in executions. Also, in the first Titanfall, You could use stim, and there we're no simulacrums in that Game.

@Anonymys43 I'd argue that the Newcastle shield resembles more of the shield captain grunts that you see in some segments of the TF2 campaign and on the higher difficulties of frontier defence. The grunts that have the particle shield and can move with it. But it definitely also resembles tone particle shield.

A lot of people seem to forget about the first titanfall and focus on titanfall 2 all the time, a bit of cool dialogue and lore from the first game, especially the burn cards which add to the lore and in-game mechanics where some pilots are supposedly supposed to be transhuman because they get augments and transplants shit like that. It's also interesting to note the fact that all the playable pilots are human (not including the burn cards), and they use stim, which is supposed to be dangerous for humans to consume and designed for use by machines and simulacrum.

straight up wouldn't makes sense. apex takes place 30 years after tf2, so that means mirage wouldn't of been born during the events of tf2. another thing is cooper would be like 50-60 years old
