Please know that for this one momma in Florida, your videos on Christmas have been such a blessing. This is year two for us not celebrating and I have to say, most believing friends and family bash us to the moon! It’s insane, they don’t even take a moment to try to understand or think critically. I have complete peace about it. I don’t know of any Christians in my life that don’t celebrate🥺 but I know a ton of non believers that do celebrate.

Very good point. Usually when the many of the world are doing something...it's not Christian. Though God does work his way in of course..in ways of popular laws etc that are founded on the Ten Utterances..."thou shall not murder" etc But this kind of very obviously commercialized, paganized day that's BASED on Jesus' birth faked by the Catholic Church. Lol I just don't get how you can say you're not celebrating his birth but you're celebrating him in a special way, on Christmas. It's like a "happy belated birthday Jesus" LOL 🙈 I just don't get the point unless that's a date used to tell people they are wrong, which I feel is not the best time. I'd rather promote a day during Sukkot before the holidays, etc. Passover..!!! ❤ Anyway. I appreciate your point of view and agree.

I grew up keeping Christmas then began observing Gods Holy days at age 21. My biological family has never supported me. The loss is sometimes unimaginably hard. I am so passionate about helping people process & grieve this loss, well. It’s a transition. This is my 18th year not celebrating Christmas and it wasn’t until last year I gave myself permission to grieve honestly and feel my sadness genuinely with abandon. It’s hard to do if there are people around who don’t celebrate Christmas and they didn’t grieve. I had to forge my own path.

When I came to the Lord I had similar feelings about Christmas. It kind of smacked me in the face one day when I was reading the Bible. I was so happy to see the video you made about not celebrating it. It was total confirmation for me. I think if we're going to celebrate anything it should God's appointed days. Anyway, change is hard. My kids won't understand now, but hopefully they will one day. Keep going girl. It's so good to see someone who is strong in their faith and convictions. For me, I used to focus on and get angry about Christmas being a pagan holiday but I thought too highly about my own opinions. I think that hurt others and I was miserable. I definitely “call it for what it is” now and low and behold, I can have fun with Christmas in the ways I feel comfortable celebrating and leave out the hot garbage. I admire how God uses everything to mature us and for me, it’s about loving others more than my own opinions and it’s okay to have some wholesome fun! Thanks for the discussion and I pray the Lord refreshes you and blesses the rest of your day❤

I am perfectly fine with people not celebrating it. It's the attitude of charity that needs to accompany it. “One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord” (Romans 14:5-6)
@emeraldcoal2360

@@inchristalone25I would argue that same verse applies very well from Heidi’s standpoint as well. There is a definite lack of charity from the Christmas celebrating crowd that would be welcome. Simply stating that you can still be a Believer and not partake in a traditional celebration is a simple enough message that a lot of us need to hear. While the other side tends to take this basic statement that there is little to none Biblical backing to celebrate as a personal attack and then they HAVE to have you validate their feelings that it is okay for THEM to celebrate. I would say there is some room to grow if you have to be validated from the people with convictions against it that you’re the exception and you’re doing okay by celebrating. If I had a conviction against drinking, yet my friend who has a glass of wine needs me to tell her it’s okay every time I mention my conviction, it could get very tiring.
@inchristalone25
@inchristalone25 6 ай бұрын
@@emeraldcoal2360 I never said I need to be validated. Many of the comments on her videos about Christmas are taking an extremist position that those celebrating Christmas are sinning. One even said it's akin to satan worshiping. That's not Heidi's position. Those with convictions need not enter into the realm of holier than thou. It'd be like an alcoholic who is recovering going around claiming anyone who drinks alcohol is sinning against God. And there are certainly those people. As well as those who are just overly legalistic in their life due to weak consciences. If Christmas is a stumbling block because you don't want to sin against God that's fine, if you were my friend I wouldn't talk about it and I wouldn't force my views on you.
@inchristalone25
@inchristalone25 6 ай бұрын
@@emeraldcoal2360 I saw your main comment here as well and just wanted to be clear on my stance so I don't add to the list of people you think are holding on to their flesh. I absolutely hate the commercialism of Christmas and would quit it for that ALONE. We could celebrate it on a different day and I'd perfectly fine with it. I praise God everyday not just on Christmas and Easter and Sunday morning. I have learned to let go of the desire for family togetherness (we are for the first time not doing anything with the extended family this year), that was probably the most difficult for me because I grew up surrounded by family for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was a comforting event. And that can happen regardless of the day. I think many Christians are holding on to it for that alone. The togetherness of the celebration, maybe they feel alone in their life, maybe they don't have the relationship with God they really need to not feel alone, maybe they don't even have a church family that they do life together with. I am going through that season and I've had to rely on God for all of that. It has greatly increased my faith. So I am all for what Heidi is saying in that regard. My comments here are mostly coming against those who are not charitable towards those who have not gone through the process yet. And I do think it's wrong to equate it to satan worshiping as someone here has done. Going shopping, putting up decorations and spending time with family is not worshiping satan no matter the roots of putting up decorations.

I have celebrated Christmas all my life (49 years!) but I don’t have any problem with others not celebrating Christmas. When I got saved at 13 years old, Christmas took on a whole new meaning for me. The hymns, the gifts, everything became so precious and pointed to Jesus in such a tangible way. Then when I was an older teen, I made friends at church who didn’t celebrate. I literally thought nothing of it, but just accepted it as something they had a personal conviction about and left it at that. The second Christmas season I was around them, they became so hateful, at one point yelling at me and saying I didn’t love Jesus because I celebrated Christmas. I have to say I was heartbroken. One of these girls I had considered to be my best friend. It broke that friendship. All this to say, whether you celebrate or not, please do it in love. Don’t condemn or judge others who see differently than you do. I’m sure it’s hard for those who don’t celebrate if they’re in a congregation that does. But if we put Christ first, there is room for everyone who believes.

Agreed. I've looked into whether or not to do christmas, and I have come to the conclusion that I have no problem with it. I love Christmas, while i know it's likely not the day my savior was born, I love celebrating His birth. All of history surrounds this moment. The birth of our savior. All history before Him looked forward to Him, all history after him looks backwards towards him. I love celebrating that. But if someone feels convicted not to, I think they should absolutely do what they feel is best. But too often either side feels superior to the other. I'm sorry your friendship ended over something that shouldn't divide us like this.

But, it is NOT Jesus birthday, and ia of pagan origins, the winter solstice festival, sun worship, Saturnalia, 4000 yrs of these winter pagan customs, and then Rome decided to combine paganism and Christianity. Jesus was born in early autumn, right around the fall festivals of God, Feast of Trumpets, and Day of Atonement, and Feast of Ingathering or Tabernacles. The true holydays of God the Father and Son, were given in Leviticus 23! The sabbath and annual true festivals of Yah. Jeremiah 10 describes something eerily life the Christmas tree.

How is christians congregating with other Christians in their homes on christmas day showing the world about the Messiah? While the non believers are in their homes drinking with other non believers dress like santa. How many of us are actually out evangelizing during this time?
@Sarah-psalm127

@@MzCrayKraybut he was a baby in a Manger. He was born of man. God with us. Every moment in history looked forward to his birth, every moment in history since looks back to it. God chose to become man, to live as man, to be as vulnerable as a baby. That means everything. Yes we know he didn't stay that way. But what a thing to rejoice in that God came to us. Other religions don't get it. Islam says how horrible to think God would put himself in such a lowly spot as a baby in a manger. but we know that is our God. Our savior. We pass down to our children this meaning and what a glorious thing it is. You don't have to agree with celebrating Christmas, but I have a hard time watching Christians leave the scene. Christmas is the only time some people even hear about Him. If we Christians step out of Christmas, we give it over to the secular realm. It seems like such a loss to me.

You can argue all day long about celebrating or not celebrating Christmas. But in the end it is a very personal decision and choice, and I think the chapter of Romans 14 applies to this. Paul describes some believers who were convinced it was wrong to eat meat, and other believers (including Paul himself) who believed it was perfectly fine to eat it. Instead of giving a string of points about why eating meat is ok, he cautioned the meat eaters not to offend those who abstained, and not to try and convince them to eat meat. . He also said that the abstainers should follow their convictions, and that even if they found out later it was ok, if they ate meat while believing it was wrong,it WAS sin for them. He also told the non-meat eaters not to feel more righteous and not to judge the meat eaters. This issue of celebrating Christmas or not is very much like what is in Romans 14, and we should live by what Paul says in this chapter. We should follow our beliefs, NOT try and convince others to believe as we do, and totally walk with each other in love. I have seen and lived in both sides of this issue (including impact on family and friends), it’s very personal to me so I refuse to discuss it here. Everybody just needs to be kind and loving. It’s just stupid and tragic to fight over how to acknowledge the birth of Christ, with all the circumstances that fulfilled prophecies, proving He was the foretold Messiah. In arguing we miss the point that without the miracles surrounding His birth, we have no Messiah and no Savior, and no forgiveness of sins. God loved us so much He sent His son to save us, and the least we can do is love each other.

I appreciate the thoughtful convo on both sides, so thanks! 🙏🏻💟Got Questions has a good article on this topic. Here’s the last 2 paragraphs: “Some Christians say that since the world celebrates Christmas-although it is becoming more and more politically correct to refer to it as “the holidays”-Christians should avoid it. But that is the same argument made by false religions that deny Christ altogether, as well as cults such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses who deny His deity. Those Christians who do celebrate Christmas often see the occasion as an opportunity to proclaim Christ as “the reason for the season” among the nations and to those trapped in false religions. As we have seen, there is no legitimate scriptural reason not to celebrate Christmas. At the same time, there is no biblical mandate to celebrate it, either. In the end, of course, whether or not to celebrate Christmas is a personal decision. Whatever Christians decide to do regarding Christmas, their views should not be used as a club with which to beat down or denigrate those with opposing views, nor should either view be used as a badge of honor inducing pride over celebrating or not celebrating. As in all things, we seek wisdom from Him who gives it liberally to all who ask (James 1:5) and accept one another in Christian love and grace, regardless of our views on Christmas.” Even though we know 12/25 very likely isn’t the actual day of Jesus’ birth, hubs & I celebrate a simple Christ-centered Christmas. It’s dark & cold this time of year in CO; we love the cheerful, twinkling lights outside & the festive coziness & beauty of a tree inside. If we were convicted about it like we are about Halloween, we’d drop it like a hot potato, but so far we aren’t. God bless y’all & Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. ❤

Christmas is just another man made holiday for companies to make you buy products that makes them rich and you in debt/poor! A slave to the vendor...This is a manipulated idea to condition and brainwash you to succumb to the world's idea of making any idea accepted and normal. The world want to makes us to comply as if we need something like this or any other pagan idea to exist in this life. Wrong!!!! Our landfills are filled with not only regular items tossed away and I am sure it includes gifts given for every occasion human thinks you should gift a person. I have seen people's items end up in Yard Sales, flee markets, Good Will, and Thrift Shops. This is not honoring God at all. We are living in a time that people are already in debt and to make a person feel bad that you do not join in on this conjured holiday. Where do we see this is about Jesus? Christians are to separate from pagan doctrines and beliefs. Believers need to follow God...not pagan ideologies. Do not conform to this world system. Save your money for paying your bills and groceries or truly helping someone in need.

I think everyone feels the need to justify whether they do or don't celebrate Christmas and how or why, but like she says many times in her videos, it's between you and God. He's the only one whose opinion matters. And when I first followed my convictions and gave up Halloween, it was hard not to feel judgy/feel like they were doing "wrong." But I came to realize, God will always honor and bless sacrifices we make to try to come closer to him and become more holy, even if they are our own ideas and not necessarily commanded by God. Peoples choices to give up a love of anything in the world will always bring them closer to Christ. But those who are choosing to give up a certain holiday for His names sake, may also have things they still love and enjoy in the world that others have chosen to give up even if they keep loving and celebrating holidays. Anyway, it helped me in my perspective to not judge others or be tempted to think myself above them in any way. Making personal sacrifices to God and giving up our love of culture for Him, is a sacred and intimate journey and people will find their own way of doing it. It won't all look the same for everyone. ❤

I left the Christmas celebrations behind me. People just don't get it....and they don't want to hear it. I actually have a handout prepared that describes the exact reasons...straight out of the Bible...that I don't celebrate it. It has been 5 years and only one woman even tried to understand. She had a really emotional response and said "we do all these things and then go to church!!! ". One particularly irascible old man asked me what Bible I was reading...I responded KJV. He accepted the paper, folded it in half and walked away to put it in the trash. I think the thing people really like is that the families gather and make time for each other...they just can't pull it away from the other stuff. What I usually tell people is that Jesus only cares that you don't do those things in His name. In other words, Christ would prefer that His name is taken out of Christmas. At the end of the day, we are in the age of grace and God forgives us.

@@peggylee2267 Celebrating birthdays started as a pagan ritual in egypt 5,000 yrs ago. Ancient Greeks worshipped Selene, the moon goddess, and made round cakes and put candles on them. They asked the birthday person to blow the candles out as they prayed to her. They believed the smoke carried their prayer to the moon. Today someone may be told to 'make a wish and blow out the candles'. Are they praying to Selene? No. They are just having fun. (Selene was the Greek moon goddess, Luna the Roman, also associated with Diana, Juno, and Artemis) No one is endorsing those pagan religions by celebrating someone's birthday and having them blow out candles. But to be consistent in the logic, if a Christian isn't celebrating Christmas because of its pagan roots and symbols, they should not be celebrating anyone's birthday - the mere celebration of a birthday is pagan in its roots!

(First and foremost, I want to say thank you for your transparency, and vulnerability, and for expressing the sentiments of yourself and your family. I hope your daughter(s) and son are okay and not broken down to a point of unfruitfulness from the recent video that was put out.) It simply appears that you were misunderstood by a lot of us recently. We didn't quite get the fullness of what you were trying to get across because of certain reasons. As this commentator you featured mentioned, you had said some "buzz words" that made it challenging for us to see all that you were trying to say. (Such buzz words were, for example, [quote] "just call it what it is" in regards to Christmas. This came across as being mildly sarcastic and what caused such a reaction from many people, myself included. But honestly, the commentator put everything in perspective, so I don't need to repeat what this person so beautifully said.) I am a 27-year-old man with two daughters and the most beautiful person who I get to call my wife. We don't look at Christmas as the ACTUAL day Jesus was born. We look at the Christmas SEASON as simply a time to focus "more so" on the birth of Jesus rather than during other times of the year ---- (Don't throw stones, please, because I know you mentioned in your video that we should always be celebrating Jesus' birth everyday. I'll address this more below. Stay with me!) ---- Why? Well, we listen to the BBN Radio Network, for example. They play songs about Jesus' birth during this time. Certain grocery stores play songs about Jesus' birth here in Canada (Yes, it is true, and praise the Lord for this!) Do you want to know another thing? Our neighbours have giant santa clauses on their house and whatnot. Our oldest daughter (3 years old) says, "Daddy, look, is that a santa claus?" And then I say, "Yes, my daughter. But guess what? Santa isn't real, but JESUS is real, and He is worthy of our affection rather than santa." And guess what? My daughter agrees with me! I have used our neighbour's santa claus as an opportunity to point my precious daughter to Christ. Hallelujah! Satan can't do anything to thwart that. It's not like I'm going to go knocking on my neighbours' door and tell them to remove their santas and whatnot. I can simply take advantage of this evangelistic opportunity. And it works! Do we have a Christmas tree? No. Do we indulge in commercialism associated with this time? No. Do we reverence the DAY of Christmas on the 25th? No, no, no. Jesus was 99.99% not born on this day. It's just a SEASON and a TIME to especially remember His birth. But as you said and as is so obvious, we can celebrate His birth ANY day or even EVERY day. When commercialism gets in the way or idolatry or any other purpose than Christ, we need to guard our hearts to not entertain such things. Grace and Peace to you, and I hope my comment does more good than harm. And thank you for your time in clarifying yourself and your family in this video. It takes a real character to do what you did after seeing some of the fallout. May the Lord truly continue to guide you through this time!

Heidi, I just want to share some encouragement with you for your boldness and willingness to speak Truth. I grew up in the Lutheran church, but had never made Christ Lord of my life until about 4.5 years ago. Since then I have been studying Scripture for the first time in my life and as I have learned more and deepened my walk with Him, I have also started to ask some questions. For me I didn't understand why if we are grafted into His Chosen people, then why doesn't The Church do the same things His people do/celebrate/follow...those things that were given to us in His Word? Over the past year, Holy Spirit has been taking the scales off my eyes regarding the holidays and the Feast Days given to us by YHWH. This is my first year quitting Christmas and it is a very tough thing to do when it comes to family and those who also believe in their hearts they are doing it for the Lord. However, He tells us that we are not to worship Him like the pagans worship their gods...that is the kicker for me. He loves us so much and we love Him, so shouldn't we love and worship Him like He wants to be worshipped? And if He says don't mix it with pagan worship, then I don't want to do that. He did give us Feast days to celebrate Him and they all point to Yeshua, so why wouldn't we just do as He told us to do...worship as He asked us to worship? Next year will be my first year celebrating the Feast days and I am really looking forward to it❤ I did want to thank you for sharing your convictions and experiences. It helps to know we are not alone and there are others who may be or have gone through similar situations that I am as I quit Christmas this year. May the Holy Spirit bring you some comfort today and some encouragement to keep speaking Truth and may the Lord bless you and your family Heidi today and always ❤🙏🙌🏻

Why is she so worried about how you make her feel about how or why she celebrates Christmas? She needs to pray and worry about what Jesus thinks of her and how she’s celebrating. The seed is planted and she can’t unsee the truth about Christmas and I pray that she will be able to let the truth set her free from the churchianity

I think the response you received was very respectful and right! I am a christian also and celebrate Christmas. But after watching you for the last year it is obvious you cant handle someone not agreeing with you. Your Christianity is your own, but you seem to think your opinion, your studies are right and the right way to live as a Christian. I think this is the lord saying something to you about your tone, your words you use, and your actions. Yes you are on youtube and that brings other opinions that do not agree with yours. Also you have a way of saying punchy little comments that may be offensive. So this women caught all the things that needed to be brought to light. Now as a veiwer and a Christian i think you need to ponder on what was said and how you can change some of the delivery and the words youve daid in the past. I think this is a learning experience for you. Pray about it and look in the mirror when you speak. It might help you hear what you are saying then just speaking in to your camera at your audience. Again i thing her response was good and kind and very thorough. We are all not perfect, but i think you are used to speaking and everybody goes your way. Well this is a bigger audience then your home, there are alot of very intelligent Christians who know the bible maybe even better than yiu. So we need to be careful on passing judgments on how people should be serving the lord and celebrating him. Hope you learn for this and i pray the lord speaks to you. Keep sharing the gospel that is the one most important service we should be doing. Making disciples and spreading the gospel so all can be saved. ❤

@@HeavenlyMindedHome i know you have, and I've watched alot of your videos and they are good. Just pointing out some things I seen and felt to bring to light. God works with is and helps us grow, so it is with great respect and love of Christ that we should help eachother if we are needing help. I am not judging, but if it feels that way or seems that way please forgive me if it did. No way did I want you to feel unworthy or bad about yourself. But sometimes when people see things we can't see and bring them to our attention, "In Love' it does hurt. God bless your day! Stand up and get on with your day praising the lord and doing your best to serve him as we all are doing. Again forgive me if I hurt you I did not mean to. But we as Christians need to be careful in how we speak. So I want you to hear my plea and know I love you in Christ and never want to offend or hurt. Have a blessed day ok! Let's move on now!!!♥️🙏👍

Heidi, I'm wondering at such an emotional response by you from some of the comments. Do you really care that much what people think of you? I am a committed Bible believing Christian. You have a stance and you put it out there for your reasons. Why do you seem to care so much that others might disagree with you? Are you putting your true hope in yourself and how you might look in KZfaq!? We all need to look deeply into our hearts on WHY we do what we do. Thanks for making me think hard about this. I love Christmas, Jesus ' birth and all that goes along with it. It's one of the only good memories of my childhood so I'll keep celebrating His great gift to us.

Could care less what people think of me- I'm not here for the approval of any of you (or anyone in general) -- I care when I've tried really hard to share on an important matter and what was intended is not being received. When we try to convey a message and it's not the message being received by some- that can be really hard. I know WHY I'm doing what I'm doing here, our family knows WHY we're doing what we're doing in this ministry-- and it has ZERO to do with receiving a worldly approval. 🙏🏼

I want to Thank you!! Because this has helped me. The Holy Spirit has been convicting me each time Everyone wants to say Merry Christmas when it's not in the Bible and then finding out it's a pagen celebration but my family, friends, co-workers & my brothers & sisters in Christ & Pastors it's been really, really been very dfficult but I really stood my ground it did not feel truthful. The Lord was showing me just I just couldn't put my finger on it? Until it seemed so troubling that the whole world is doing it the more I questioned it??!! I ran into a Pasfor & his wife & said we don't celebrate Christmas & I was like Thank you Jesus Thank you God for hearing my prayers and then to see your post as well. I am not alone & I am not going crazy or weird. The enemy loves to use this, but stay close to God. When I started to think about Christmas & the whole thing & how it becomes the golden calf & we go into debt, overwhelmed, I was struggling & especially when co-workers know you are a christian & not celebrating that? To all of them I must look like the grinch to them. But now that I see more posts what the Lord has put in my heart & Him answering my prayers God is good. I keep saying Lord expose the enemy, expose the lie, shed light into this situation & look. You should be So encouraged that the Lord is opening our eyes & to see. Yes you are going to go through those trials & tribulations but to know you are not alone you have family with you but to celebrate that your eyes are being open & your helping others & your helping your followers to see the truth now is the time to use this, pray for more eyes to be open & for those that can't or don't want to see it pray for them, pray for those that prosecute you. Remember even Jesus went through so much how can we not go through it. Speak to them in Love to take down those walls of darkness, hurt, pain, confusion but for the Love of Jesus Christ to touch them in the name of King Jesus of Nazareth who came to set the Captives free. Who the Son sets free is free InDeed!! Amen, AMEN & AMEN!! Be blessed & encouraged. 7:17

We quit Christmas last year after I found another teaching channel and learned the depths of the paganism. Learning what each thing symbolized was appalling. The ones who want to criticize and justify simply do not know the depths of evil that are in the celebration. Start researching the masons and satanism. This about pagan god birthdays, human sacrifice, overt sexual abominations, etc. There are many videos out there from those who used to be part of the occult and verify it. If you don't want to research, you truly don't want to know. Learning what I learned changed my life, but you know what, God is so much bigger and better and I feel free. I have been opened up to what all the idols in my life have been.

Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. 8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. 1 Corinthians 8:4-8

I realized a few years ago that I actually hate the holidays, and with that realization that I have spent many Christmases feeling disappointed because it never was what movies and all the stores and commercials chock it up to be. We all have this image in our mind, or at least I did, that Christmas is happy and everyone drinks hot chocolate and blah blah blah. Reality is, Christmas has been made into a stressful, family drama, greedy, day/week/season. With this realization I have come to very much despise that I have celebrated a secular holiday more of my life, rather than celebrating Jesus’ birth. Furthermore, Christ's birth was a wonderful day but also He was an infant that would grow up to be sacrificed. We’ve made a self righteous party out of it with our Christmas trees floating over a sea of unnecessary and unappreciated gifts that we all felt pressured to buy. It’s hard to come to this realization, it truly made me feel so convicted and deeply sorry for what I had been doing for so long. Some times people’s hearts just aren’t ready for revelations like this, and it feels more like they are being accused or chastised. If anyone feels this way, I would urge you to pray about it. I think we all should be praying about where our heart is in this season because the last thing the world wants is for our heart to be seeking Christ and its so easy to go astray. God bless.

I pray with all my heart that as you discussed the comment with her that it was not represented to bring hurt. 🙏My heart does hurt that your daughter could possibly be feeling any kind of brokenness over this. I have been praying for her a lot this morning, and I will keep praying that she feels built up in the Lord’s great love for her, and that the enemy has no foothold in this whatsoever. 🙏Praying that she is protected from any wrong intentions that I know the devil would like any of us to be feeling right now. 🙏Praying that she knows we (I think I can safely say “we” as in all of us viewers here) know how dearly loved and respected she is by you and your entire family. 🙏I pray that she knows we know she has a wonderful wonderful momma!🙏I’m praying that she knows that we fully know she had absolutely no ill intentions towards her momma at all in what she said. 🙏 I pray that if your daughter has felt even the most minuscule kind of hurt, that she and you will know my deepest and most sincere apologies abound to her and to you. 🙏May she feel fully loved, and absolutely respected, and truly protected & guarded from the enemy who may try to twist anything else wise.🙏 Though your daughter is wise and well mature, the comment was meant for you and not her. But, it’s your right to share what you will to anyone in your household. Though she seems a lovely mature young lady I know she’s still a child, and it breaks my heart for any child to have their feelings hurt, and especially if I have any part of the hurt- I’m so very sorry. 🙏The comment was meant only for you, and was never ever meant at any point to turn into anything of disgrace towards your daughter. And yet, if your daughter experienced any hurt feelings, I truly and affectionately offer my sincerest apologies. If it’s necessary, please promise to express to your daughter the sentiments above. Thank you. There’s definitely responses that I have in light of your response here to where we still disagree on that 1% that I will keep unsaid because I want nothing to deter from the sincerity of what is expressed above towards your sweet daughter other than to say- in no way is persecution happening here as some have suggested. In the end, I’d believe we’re on the same side. In the utmost genuine respect to your feelings, though you expressed you’re not angered or even roused up in a bad way, I can still see your heart aching- to that, if there’s a place I need to apologize for, I do, I fully and truly do. ❤️You ended your video offering hugs. Hugs right back to you my sister in Christ, hugs before the Christmas topic started, and hugs after the Christmas topic is over. I wish I could hug you in real life because I’d give you a BIG one. 😊 I truly love your heart for the Lord, and I’d truly love to know you in “real life”. And even if there may be disagreements on any given topic , as part of the body of Christ, I’ve prayed for you & your family at different times when you’ve walked through difficulties. 🙏May the Lord richly, richly bless you and your beautiful family, especially your sweet sweet daughter, and the ministry the Lord has placed before you. Much, much love to you! And please, please,

26 minutes in and I can say I fully appreciate both sides given. I love Christmas. I do. If I'm honest, I love the sparkles and the baking and the getting together. I will give you some points Heidi, you have made me think twice about my irrepressible love for red and green jammies this time of year and cheesy movies and more ornaments that I don't really need. I saw one of your earlier videos, and I took one long hard look at our nativity set and thought about how sweet and simple and lowly it really was. It was something so precious, and it is precious to me that even unbelievers can maybe get the faintest whiff of it at Christmas time. I mean,Christ is in the name, what a doorway to conversation with even perfect strangers! Generosity is more common and accepted this time of year. Im going to a nursing home with Christmas presents and tracts this week for the very first time and Im very excited to meet everyone and tell them about Christ. Biblical or not, it really is a gift for us wannabe evangelists who struggle with starting conversations 😂 Also, just because it's cultural, doesnt mean it's bad. Every missionary everywhere in the world has to adapt to their culture. The one thing that I do wonder is about the actual "celebrating" with all the frills and silly things which I love. How much is enjoying, and how much is idolatry? I suppose the Holy Spirit will let me know that as I go along😂 He always does. But I do get suspicious of being a little too....fastidious. Especially when it comes to putting that on other people. Abstaining or not abstaining though, whether a weak or strong brother, we shouldn't fight. Not about this. That is the one thing I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt

I appreciate how it was mentioned about when Christmas falls on a Sunday! Of course we had this last year 2022. Our small baptist Church held service and sadly not all of our congregation came. And I do know churches that did not have service in our area. And one of our largest churches in the area, one of the pastors, the children's pastor put a comment on Facebook about all the work it takes to put a service together and basically sounded like she was complaining about having to do it. It was very sad and unsettling to hear that

Having eyes to see and ears to hear is not the common thing. Eyes and ears are being opened more and more, and when you convey to YT audiences that yours have been, you will be questioned and almost verbally abused by one’s with not open eyes and ears. Seeking the truth is much harder than sitting around and being told what to think. Hang in there, whatever your path may be. I have experienced the same… And, when people say “are you Jewish, those are Jewish things”, kindly remind them that all those Feasts and Festivals were given to All 12 tribes, not just Judah(Jews), and that as followers of Yeshua, we are part of Abrahams seed now, which means those things are for us. For REAL! ❤ It was heartbreaking for me to discover one of the biggest Christian role models in my life growing up, one of my best friends, has gone totally Luke warm. I honestly want to ask her if she's a Satanist now. At least to get her to recognize she is more aligned with that than with the Bible. The "you do you" mentality that is Satanic and has crept into the church. 😢 She is completely for abortion rights, even though she claims to know it's wrong. I told her as a Christian, it's about allowing murder of unborn children, that it's not the same as life saving medical procedures etc ..but she didn't care. 💔 So there's worse out there than celebrating Christmas, but it's something that bugs, especially when others act like THEY are in a cult where they have toguilt trip you for not participating. It's eerie. Much love from California!

@@amyk87Be careful with that "Christlike" thing...many new agers use that to pretend they are God. People who are given the Biblical truth and reject it for what is comfortable are luke warm/ cherry-picking Christians at best. And I don't say "Christian" with confidence in the context. I only try to be kind in the sense that only God knows what's truly in someone's heart. But we judge righteously by the fruit of the spirit and by their actions. As Christians we are called not to entertain people who refuse reason, if they are unreachable by us we must not waste our energy on them, and simply pray for them. But otherwise we are called to help one another by calling out their straying from the narrow path and to sharpen one another like iron. It's not loving to have the poor boundaries and ideology of "you do you" it's even the root of Satanism. That humans need to enjoy their free will to the point of doing whatever feels good. Hedonism. Indulgence. Christmas time/"holiday time" specifically is called the time of indulgence in many circles... Of people that actually celebrate it I'm not talking about amongst Christians or any other religious group specifically and. It's used as a joyful "teehee, I can eat like crap, and lose all self control this week because it's the holiday season!" ...how is that healthy? Doesn't that sound an awful lot like what a deceiver and adversary would love to tempt people with? Think about how the actual Biblical holy days are in autumn, and then Spring. Not winter. Yet "holidays" taking the name for holy days and twisting it... Many times for canonized saints even (Valentine's) when the Bible says saints are Christians. That was the first title of a Christian. Lol It meant Sanctified in Christ, as in saved and made new to do our best as sinners, to follow him. We are not to pray to other saints or worship etc. We use Reformation Day to learn about the Reformation period and Martin Luther, for example but we don't do much, it adds to our Bible study. Vs Sukkot or Yom Teruah when it's a big holy day celebration. To give some examples. If you're offended by "luke warm" I think that's saying something. 🙏Much love ❤

I stopped doing Christmas too and I am getting the same confused backlash from my family as well. Modern Christianity does not question their traditions. Think of the story of Gideon. When he went into the temple, there were idols everywhere. You could not even walk up to the tent of meeting without tripping over idols. How do you think the people felt when Gideon started throwing out the idols? Same thing. They were clueless. Tradition has such a grip on modern Christian’s, they don’t want to research. I could yell till I am blue in the face explaining why we don’t do Christmas, because of the pagan origins and how it was never found in Gods word. Yet, they still will not understand. Those who have an ear, hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. He says someday I will turn your festivals into mourning, and your happiness to sorrow, or something like that. Look what happened to the Israelites when they tried to worship God the same way they worshiped the Egyptian Gods at Mount Sinai? God ordered the killing of 3000 Israelites who were involved in the incident! He’s not playing around. He wants us to worship him the way he instructed in his word. He DETESTS our festivals to the Lord. He wants us to honor his holy days of Passover, feast of unleavened bread, firstfruits, penticost, day of Trumpets, day of atonement, and feast of tabernacles/sukkot. We can’t obey them 100% until Christ sets up his millennial kingdom, but he wants us to remember them.

@@inchristalone25 well I mention his feast days later after I edited my comment, but worship basically is living in obedience to his word. Even a lot of what is in the Old Testament, for Jesus says he didn’t come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. His love language is obedience. Worship music is fine too, just gotta be careful because a lot of worship songs are more about you than God.

@@Mezcon2 Are you saying we have to follow the old testament laws? “Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17) “The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming-not the realities themselves” (Hebrews 10:1) Paul settled the issue of the 10 Commandments in several places, among them Romans 10:4 that 'Christ is the end of the law to all who believe' and 13:8-10 when he lists several of the 10 Commandments in v9, saying before in v8 and after in v10, "to love your neighbor as yourself fulfills the law". His point as James' was in 2:10 where he said if you live by the OT law and break 1 law, you are guilty of all 613 laws. Therefore each said, as Jesus stated in Mark 12:29-31, that loving the Father will all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourself, are the top commands, for all the rest hang upon those 2. I am celebrating Jesus' birth, not a pagan god.
@Mezcon2
@Mezcon2 6 ай бұрын
@@inchristalone25 two things, one, the festivals you mentioned are another term for the holy days and new moon being the day of trumpets. where are you getting 613 from? Theres not that many laws in the old testement. And a lot of them we cant strictly follow because it involves sacrifices and offerings which we cannot do right now because christ fulfilled them on the cross, or we need him on earth in the second coming to reinstate some others in proper order. We do not do those anymore. You can do what you want, but as for me, this is how I am going about honoring the Father. "I am celebrating Jesus birth, not a Pagan God", I think you missed the later part of my comment. Remember what happend on Mount Sinai when Moses went up the Lord, and the people, who were worried about Moses, decided they would worship God with the festivals and traditions they had picked up when they were in Egypt. This ANGERED God, and it resulted in the execution of many israelites. If you did celebrate Christmas because no one had told you these things before, God will NOT punish you, because you were ignorant of such truth, and was never taught that. But once you do know the truth, yet still decide to do the opposite, well, then you will have to answer to the Lord in the courts of Heaven on why you ignored this.

We need to focus on what matters. I wonder if maybe you need a break from putting everything you do on KZfaq. You just cannot get this upset about this. Girl, you are so apologetic to a fault. You have a humble heart. Don't allow someone else's lengthy explanations as to why they do what they do get the best if you. You don’t brag about not celebrating Christmas and you don't invoke or bring out your convictions to convict others on this delicate topic. People like you and I get the opposite responses. We get made out to be the Debby downers or Grinches who steal the Christmas spirit and take the joy out of things that were simply brought up through unholy traditions of men. We are the ones usually feeling bad for making folks feel uncomfortable and shame ourselves for having our convictions. We are not the majority by any means. So when we simply assert or shed light on these very delicate topics that create visceral reactions, we end up being wronged by others. I have been dealing with this within my family and I still deal with the indirect ways some individuals try to extend their invitation knowing I don't celebrate it and prefer to keep it as another day. Unfortunately it falls on deaf ears because they don't want to accept that we don't celebrate Christmas. I still feel that I am not fully supported by my husband and I do try to meet him in the middle without compromising my beliefs and convictions. If I invited them for Hanukkah I would get some really crazy looks I bet 😅. But I don't because I know they don't celebrate it and I don't ever want them to put them in that position in the first place. I have made it known to the in laws to please refrain from giving gifts and that we don't observe the Christmas season. But clearly they don't get it. Keep on doing what you do best, Heidi! You and I want to hear "well done my good and faithful servant ". No one else's opinion matter on that great day! Shalom!😊❤

This 100%. She is definitely being as gentle and humble with this difficult topic as she can be and yet is on the receiving end of others emotional ties being challenged. This is much like every conversation I’ve had about this subject. I always try to come to this season with humility, respect and love for others who don’t see things the way I do, but ultimately I don’t receive the same back when I gently try to explain my position over and over to same people who just don’t get it. It’s a difficult time and Jesus is very clear to turn the other cheek but it’s hard to keep that respect for them going when I receive none in return. Especially when people want to convince me that I’m in the wrong because I made them feel badly about their celebrations! Possibly that has more to do with their Walk than mine when I prayerfully come to each Christmas conversation with as much grace as my heart can muster. I only bring up questions and try to show where I’m coming from and I am suddenly accosting their whole worldview. It’s not easy being the one to bring out the issues with such an emotionally charged holiday. Just know you are not alone in your convictions, Heidi. We are with you and so many of us struggling with the same issues like you’re dealing with every year.🩵
