Nadal will retire with a winning record against Federer and he also has had a big rivalry with Djokovic. Fortunate for great players like Laver and Sampras that they did not face Nadal. And now Djokovic and Federer have to win at least 2 majors to finish with more than Nadal. 13 French Opens so far. And he could win it more. And imagine all the majors he might have won if he did not have all the knee injuries. Also, this Australia Comeback by Nadal at his age against a hard court player like Medvedev is a real statement by Nadal. The ultimate competitor. The intensity and hunger of Nadal to win will be missed win he is gone. I never watched Nadal play a match without rooting for him, as great as his rivals are. He has won all 4 majors and Olympic gold. I can't yet rule out him being the greatest. There is a case for it at this point, regardless of how popular Federer is or how controversial Djokovic can be. Nadal is tennis. All court player who just refuses to lose. Nadal is a freight train, actually very talented, along with his almost supernatural fighting spirit to win whether he is in a bagel set or marathon tiebreaker situation. Love Nadal's intensity, it is priceless and who wants to win as much as him? Seems like he is as hungry to win as Connors was, if not more.

It was Borg's at one time too. Seems like yesterday Borg won 6 French Opens. Who would have expected that record to be broken. But Nadal has won 13 French Opens so far. Borg's birthday is June 6, 3 days after Nadal's. Too bad they weren't born during a Wimbledon lol

@user-si4nt5gt9b No Nadal’s touch was not amazing. Now his net game is good as long as he gets a good shot to come in off of. Watching Nadal’s matches when he was younger his net game was nowhere near as good as Alcaraz. And Nadal’s drop volleys are not even close to Alcaraz to this day. He’d hit the occasional great volley, but Alcaraz does that regularly

2013 USO F was almost as good as the 2013 French Open SF. That season was magical. Rafa has given us so many magical seasons like 2022 so far.
