Lifting capacity, price and quick attach were the biggest factors for me choosing a Branson Plus dealing with a small town dealership that actually cared about my purchase. My local deere dealership was rude and didn't give a hoot if I bought from them or not.

My 2014 Branson 3520R has been great . I put 900+ hrs on it in 18 months clearing my property , digging a pond with the back hoe attachment and doing everything that goes with building a house . Foundation , driveway etc . 1100 hrs now and it's still as tough as ever . Definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made .

I LOVE my TYM T474 with a Kukje engine as yours minus the turbo (48.3Hp). Today I spent 7 hours doing brush grapple cleanup work from the horrible storm we had Wednesday that took out two house and multiple vehicles/structures on the ranch I I live on, the Homestead root grapple got picked up by me at the shipping yard in time of real need. LOVE this homestead grapple, thanks to you.

I wouldn't. The only JD I have owned that wasn't a constant problem is my 53 AR. My dad was JD loyalist before they turned them into electronic marvels that rarely run, and can only be repaired by them. His R310 was the last straw. It was down 74 days of it's first 90. It's gone now, he bought a couple of New Hollands, that have both been bulletproof. Its almost weird to see anything vut JD green on my the cattle farm.

Here in Iowa, all of the tractors are competing with John Deere and International from the by gone days of farming. John Deere rises to the top because of the dealership network and their parts availability. When it comes to the Deeres, it feels like they set they operator in a chair on the factory floor and built the tractor around him. I grew up with Deeres and now have 3 pieces of Kubota equipment on my farm. I still have 4 John Deeres, a Ford, and my latest addition, the Kubota. Great video Hank and an excellent review. Keep 'em comin.

I wish I could find information about the 3515ch mid PTO. The main reason I am considering a JD is the cab with a/c and heat to do all of my work year round in. Great clip. Very informative! I right now have a Yanmar 2017 yt235 tractor. Its a good strong tractor. Like you was saying every time you add a function to your tractor prices go up. Example of mine is a 3rd function to run a grappler. Wish i would have known about Branson tractors to give me more options on choices on tractors. I dont like jd to, your paying for name with them!! I watching Wranglerstar is what got me hooked on Yanmar. Thanks for the informative clip. Hope it helps someone in choosing there tractor.

Sold my Yanmars for several reasons and none of them were because of price and quality, YANMARS are quality !! I own a Kioti 7320 for loader capacity and I own a Branson 2515 for convenience and utility, both quality and easy to use. Your right on (pretty much) saying “no one makes a bad tractor” just knew going in that dealer support required more effort on my part… J/D and Kubota started somewhere ! So many nice tractors out there that never set foot in JD or Kubota dealership…. Hopefully they will catch on, but until then LUNCH HAS BEEN SERVED.

You're right about there really isn't a bad brand. I've owned 2 Kubotas so far. I'm just annoyed that we don't have much choice as far as local dealers go. Its either Kubota or Mahindra. You can find John Deere at the local Greenway, but they're pretty far out. My closest Branson dealer is in Fort Smith, AR....but that's over 250 miles from me. Hopefully they'll open a dealer in Little Rock soon. Or at least closer. Very good advice Hank! Thanks for sharing! 🚜☺

Hi Hank! I looked at a Branson tractor but I bought a John Deere. I like the quick attach bucket better on the John Deere. Easy and no moving parts. (Keep it simple stupid) The other thing is my John Deere dealer is only 2 miles away. The lift capacity doesn't bother me much but I do wish it was a little bit better but if I don't ballast up the back I can lift the back tires off the ground as it is.

Hank I Have a like vs hate relationship with your channel. Likes - I learn something from most videos. hates - comparison videos like this. Why? When you spent your own money it was the Mahindra. Nothing could be better. You compared it to everything and it was always better. You gave 3 reasons why you bought it witch included not having a DPF filter. You followed the Mahindra sales hype making it sound like when a tractor with DPF was in re-gen you had to stop and let it finish. Can you give a few real examples of of tractors that you HAVE to stop for re-gen. Funny how when you worked a deal with Branson the Mahindra got gone. Now the Branson is the one that hung the moon. Open the hood and I can see the DPF filter that used to be a really big reason not to buy. I think Branson tractors makes good stuff but It is very obvious that you are paying them back for the use of the tractor. A 3,000 # small tractor moving 1,000 # bales is asking for an accident. Agreed it may lift it but wow, not me. Oh why do you have to keep saying Cummins. Yea I know but that is sort of like the Mahindra and a DPF

I'm a new subscriber and enjoy your videos, but stuff like this is best left dealers, they all make them and the dealer's brand ALWAYS comes out on top. Also features change from one year to the next. My brother bought a new Kioti CK27 a few years ago. I was a bit skeptical, but it was a very nice full featured tractor. The following year, it was subtly "replaced" with one missing several features and a new higher price. John Deere seems to change model numbers every couple of year in the compact line as does Kubota. We own Case, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, John Deere and Ford. My personal preference in new tractors is Kubota as a Kubota is really designed and made by Kubota, not a conglomoration, used no preference as I agree with your opening, no one makes a bad tractor anymore.

Find an attachment that you can't get use both not a limiting factor. One thing you dont talk about value hold. I would be curious how they depreciate. I know the first tractor is not your last. Depending on proximity they could be good economical alternative. When I bought I looked at every brand within 100 miles. To me once you pick the brand the dealer is critical. I toured the shops and looked for things like parts on hand. How professional was the service area. In the end that threw me to jd and 0%, and the used 2 year old 2038r I was in market for was almost new price. It is really an individual value proposition. Cheers

Use too be a die hard John Deere fan . Then one day seen the light in the Korean built 30 too 50 hp compact tractors . More lifting power / Beefy rims / tires / axles . Clean running quiet engines . Lots steel not plastic .Very quiet hydrostatic transmissions meaning no whining noise like kubota . The new John Deere 4052 M 4062 M with 440 R loader with skid steer quick attach / larger rims and tires are on the right track now . John Deere has seen the light with this new model .The price is high but it is a nice tractor . Competition has been good for buyers now . In some areas Dealerships are scarce for Korean built tractors .Let’s see what the future holds in the subcompacts and Compacts for Deere and kubota the big gunners . As far as Dealership service and manufacture warranty’s etc . Pretty hard too beat John Deere . Some people still refuse too look or test drive a Korean built tractor . Best thing I ever did . It’s all what you can afford and what you got for dealers right now for a lot people . But if you have competition of other manufactures go look and test drive one . . It’s free and educational on what you get for the money 👍🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Good video Hank . 👍

But ones like Cockshutt were big areas to buy from and drive 30 or more miles away ! I heard if bought tractor had more 45 hp get to train station delivery to near train station pick up there and drive home get some haul to you home or farm! Yes there lots stuff changed since then I remember when my late Dad & Uncle Bill had fun challenging back by tractor and my Uncle Bill drove the 1950 Cockshutt from Brampton Ontario to east to Port Hope took 8 days get home in Cold Damp rain ! Then 1986 drove a 105c Combine McCormick International and took him day get home also me also my uncle following him home in pick up home ! John Deere doesn't make a compact tractor so your reply doesn't make sense. Yanmar has always made the compact John Deere, and I've personally rebuilt the cam mount for the John Deere loader which will pop off and spring the loader frame

Hi! We don’t live far from you ( DHMCO is our local dealer) and are involved in the Pecan business. We are trying to figure out if one of these (15 series) or maybe a 20 series handles lifting the super sacks of nuts ok. The numbers are close but reality has a habit of defying math when it comes to tractors. Do you have any experience with these tractors and super sacks?

Don't know how much the sacks weigh. The DHMC salesman would probably be the best to answer that.

I’m not considering John Deere because of the higher price and a lot of the parts are from Korea like the Branson. The dealer networks are my biggest concern in a purchase as I grew up on a farm and if one of our Case/Case IH tractors had a problem, the dealer came out and picked it up and did their service in their dealer shop. I’m not sure if I’m going to find a Branson dealer with an in-house mechanic. I’m considering Kioti, TYM, Branson , Yanmar and maybe 2 or three others.

I work for a bigger Deere dealership in the NorthEast, with around 25 stores or so. (Yes, I know I have an IH cub cadet as my photo, I’m very partial to IH). I will say the 3035D is not really a very heavy duty machine. This Branson seems more comparable to a 3038E or a 3033R. 3035D is a bit of a more lighter duty unit. We don’t sell many unless it’s a special order since they have the manual trans and more people want HST. They also take a special key that normal 3series Deere’s don’t offer which was kind of annoying. I had to work on a 3035D recently and I liked the manual transmission but it just seemed much weaker than a 3038E. The 3035 is a weird model. Its like a 3025 with a bigger engine and a manual and it’s just a weird cross over model. We rarely see any 3035D’s at our dealership and customers really have to special order one if they want it and we’ve only had one thus far, and it was one I got to work on and try out. Customer bought it to tow things around it’s property so it’s going to get light use, which I reckon it is good for. I really like the 3038 myself since it seems to be a more capable unit. I do agree with you on the bucket system. I worked for Kubota for a while and they have a very similar bucket to your Branson. Deere uses that pin bucket system from the 1 series up to the 4 series I believe, the 5 series has better buckets that are very interchangeable between brands. I had never heard of Branson before and haven’t seen any in our area, being from the NorthEast. Appreciate you sticking to the facts on this. The one thing I’ll say on the loaders is the 3 series can sometimes have different loader options which might offer different capacities. I don’t know a whole lot on that since I’m a tech and not in sales. Definitely interesting to see the comparison between the two, but as I said I think that your Branson 35 horse is a bit more capable than a 3035D and it might be more competitive with the 3038E even though it’s got lesser horsepower. Even though I work for Deere I do like to see other brands and what they do differently, so I keep an open mind. Good vid.

Getting a tractor is a personal decision they are all comparable. Look for the best deal and how the dealer takes care of you. I got. Deere for the reason is they assemble them in the US with US workers also my dealer is amazing with pricing and is close to me. Screw all the reviews online and go to dealer yourself and ask tons of questions.
@HamiltonvilleFarm
@HamiltonvilleFarm 2 жыл бұрын
I agree. Most all tractors now days are assembled in the US. If they are sold here. Branson, TYM, Mahindra, LS l, etc.. all have assembly plants here. But the dealer is what matters. They ain’t no doubt about that

I’m not a John Deere fan just here to say it’s hard to compare that tractor with the John Deere when clearly the John Deere is smaller. I’m sure there is a better more fair comparison. It seems to me like that’s like comparing the strongest motor and a small sub compact tractor versus a normal compact tractor

I bought the 3725 about 2 years ago. 37 hp 4 cylinder diesel has a lot more torque than the smaller 3 cylinder engines. Branson makes a very strong tractor, the frame is stronger and heavier than the competition in the under 40 hp category. Closest dealer to me for service is 125 miles away. I do my own maintenance. Oil filters from NAPA and oil from Tractor Supply. Neighbors with Kubota and Massey tractors admit the Branson is just as good for a lot less money. John Deere under 40 hp class isn't even in the same league. The 25 series tractors lose less HP to the PTO. Your 15 Series tractor is not the same category as the 20 Series or 25 Series.

The biggest fact is man I run my 88' deere 1050 work here as she's meant to, very very low cost to own and you know I mean this respectfully but the 1059 will physically rip that branson in half quite easily, and the new deere 3 series. Yanmar is top shelf by far, tied with kubota. But the new deere 3 series are 100% built for 90% of what they're buyers are actually using the tractor for. Most are home owners with land. Truthfully my deere 1050 is far stronger than any of the new machines but it absolutely slaughters the lawn at anytime being almost 6000 pounds. I cannot use her to finish mow, anything that comes close to anything finished ya know? But the new machines with similar power are lighter by design
