Nice video and explanation. However I would like to know can this VDP installed without CAT6 cable. Can it be installed only with DC power, as my doorbell wiring/connection is located exactly on the back of my living room's switch board and hence direct power will be more easy to install, instead of using a CAT6 cable. I want to change my vdp , outdoor and indoor unit . Now after connecting both connectors with 4 pins to the units , the bell shows the light but it doesn't give the ring in the indoor unit

check with a small cable first by placing the indoor and outdoor nearby. You will then be able to identify the problem, whether its the cable issue or something else.

You need to uninstall the app and then re download it and then "allow speaker" when installing it. Then your problem will be resolved. If this doesn't help, then kindly wait for few days, I'll make a video on IP VDP soon. You can follow the steps and hopefully your problem will get resolved.

Hi, the unlock status time is 5 seconds. Which is huge and lock makes noise for 5 sec. The EM lock needs only a pulse to open. Can we configure it ?

It should not take so much time and the noise you have mentioned should also not be there. Kindly check the adapter or try with a new lock since you cannot configure the lock as its a mechanical setup.

So, what happens is- when unlock key is pressed, the lock opens in 1st second. But it keeps On giving vibration sound for 5 seconds as the current keeps going to the lock's Coil. How can i get rid of this? And did it not happen in any of your case?

well, firstly you need to check the wiring for any loose connections, secondly, you should check for dust on the mic, you can clean it by blowing air or by using a simple needle, if the problem still persists, you need to show it to the vendor from whom you had brought it. If he doesn't do the repair, you can buy a new outdoor unit from me at only Rs. 1200.

No, you cannot do it directly, but you can go with the IP VDP option, DS-KIS602, this will work directly its app and hence you can control it from anywhere.

Upto 40 ft is advisable. Cat 6 cable of any reputed brand can be used like hikvision, D-Link, Finolex, etc.

If I understood it correctly, you want to trigger the locks from different floor using a regular bell switch. If this is the case, then yes you can do this. It's a very common practice.

Have never tried it before. So you need to test it yourself. However, if this camera has 4 in 1 mode available, then most probably it will work.

Can i connect Analog camera to different flat VDPs.. so that one can view the Lobby area from home to see who is in the lobby.. So basically connecting the same Analog camera to different flat VDPs..

Thanks.. I actually saw a solution on drawing where they used video distribution amplifiers to send the same camera feed to different flat VDP systems..
