Average life expectancy of American male is 77 years old. I am not trying to be negative but I do worry about what will happen to this lady once you die. Let’s face it, that could happen at any moment. What are you doing to make sure she is going to be ok once you are gone? If you died tomorrow what would her life look like? Remember, this is the prime years of her career. Have you thought about paying for her to attend college? A bank account and debit card isn’t going to help her. You asked her to stop working, now it’s your responsibility to make sure her and her son will be good once you die. That’s just my honest opinion

I'm 67 and my wife is 26. We have been together for 6 years and married for 3 years now and still going strong. When you have a young wife it keeps you young too. We have heard it all and couldn't care less what other people think.🤣 It's our life and we are very happy together and that's all that matters.

As a Filipina, age doesn’t matter to us. It’s common in our country to see foreigner’s walking around with their very young Pinay. It’s not a big deal there. Here in western countries, when western women see an old man with a very young Filipina is a shocking and gr…ss to them.

My girlfriend is 53 and I’m 68. She is an English Lit professor at PNU, malate/manila. She knows world history, enjoys sharing books, and her PhD was on the effects of empire in South East Asia. So she is quite aware of the effects 1st world powers have had on her history. Because she has worked since graduation at 21, she has a house in Cavite and has been able to saved for her 2 kids college. And that is amazing as she was the eldest and reached back to educate her siblings who are all employed. So what ever I add to the budget, $700 to 1000, it means more pork, fish, and restaurants, it keeps the A/C running, and has allowed for travel. I like that she has a job that occupies her 3 or 4 days a week, gives me time alone. Part of that time is spent on remodeling my future townhouse/flipping properties as a retired contractor, siting on the beach, and doing charity work. As a mature adult, no tampo, no obsession with social media/FB, and we can discuss our shared love of literature. With the fact I have 3 kids and 8 grand kids, I go home at least for the summer and play, camp, shoot, travel. During my 3 to 6 months back in the states without my money, she does just fine. And because I pitch in for the months here, her bank account and retirement has grown. And when we are out, no one looks at us like the odd couple. A win-win

I agree with everything you said 100%.. my fiance of four years is in her late twenties and I am in my late sixties. I lucked up and got a simple Providence girl and she is the best girl I have ever met in my life and believe you me I have met a few.. she still lives on the vegetable farm and raises vegetables with her parents.. my fiance is such a kind-hearted caring person and she is so honest it's unbelievable.. she can pinch a nickel so tight the Indian will be riding the buffalo.. I am almost done with my money matters and my property sales and I will be back to the Philippines for good in June I hope.. I remember when I was younger I would visit my aunts and uncles in the old folks home and everytime after I left I had tears in my eyes and I said I would rather commit suicide than live like that when I get old.. I found out about the Philippines about six years ago and I thought I had died and went to heaven. I was born and raised in south Louisiana and like you said, the Providence of the Philippines reminds me so much of south Louisiana in the sixties.. you are in my top four KZfaqrs and you keep heading for the number one spot.. amazing Philippines has my number one spot and both of you are so brutally honest it is refreshing to watch you.. thanks for the great videos and keep them coming.👍👍👌👌🤗😎hello from south Louisiana and I will see you all soon🐊🐊🐊🐊🤗😎🍺🍻

Your example is a great illustration of when the age gap doesn't work, not so much the age more of her situation so it didn't work. Personally I don't think age gap matters, what matters more is the situation you each are in and if you can truly enjoy each other's company, the only thing I would add is that hopefully the man is preparing for his later years and in fact that includes a plan to tak e care of the girl once you pass, especially if you all are married or together for a long time.

I really enjoyed this episode Mike. In my late thirties I dated women 20 years younger and 20 years older. Chemistry matters more than age, but it does matter about how you feel about the age gap, if you can handle the criticisms that are going to happen from relatives, friends, the public you encounter. I think a good sense of humor is important, and having fun with it is key. You and Janet seem to do that quite well. Bottom line, it's really nobody's damned business but the two people involved. Hi. I am 75 my wife is 40 a beautiful filipino. We met 14yrs ago been married 11yrs . Living in NZ. in all that time never had an argument. I have never met such a loving and caring person in my whole life. I got a disease a year or so ago which has left me partially disabled. My wife needs to shower me and help me dress. She also works 8 hours a day and supports me. Never complains she certainly never married me for money. This is just what filipino women are like. So loving caring and faithful. I hope you are always as happy as me...Ron

Another outstanding video. My situation is very much like yours. I am 77 and my girlfriend/fiance is 35, has an 11 year old daughter. We have the same understanding as you and Janet. Her family (dozens of uncles, aunties, and cousins) accepts our relationship, and they accept me as one of the family. One thing we all laugh about is that I call her father "Papa" (16 years younger than me) and I call her mom "Mama" (22 years younger than me). Again, a great presentation.

I absolutely agree with the nursing home issue here in the states. My dad recently passed age 91 and was living in a independent living community. Rent when he passed was $2092.00 usd a month for a one bedroom included all meals, utilities and cable. He was confined to a scooter to get around needed assistance bathing, changing and getting in and out of bed. Additionally he paid out of pocket for aide help and his SS and pension he only brought in approximately $1,300.00 a month. I helped him every day as well to help cut costs. He spent just over three years there and was about out of money at the end. Retirement here is not affordable if your only on SS.

Two thousand a month? My mom has a friend who is 90 and paying $8,000 for something similar and that's one of the cheaper places she could find in the Sacramento, CA area. That $8,000 is the minimum for room and dining, everything else is extra where the total she actually spends is closer to $10,000.

Kenneth the place dad stayed at was really old. The aide help I got from two young ladies working at the facility ran about $200 a week total. I was there everyday and weekends to cut the costs. Dad stayed at independent living, assisted living in the Dallas area can start at around $4k a month for an older facility and run into the costs your talking about. That base price doesn't include the tier level costs of care depending on the needs. Before mom passed away in 2017 she was in need of a nursing home/memory care facility they started around $6k a month. I can't speak for the rest of Texas, those were the prices I found when I did inquries for dad and mom.

Mike, this video is spectacular. I'm 62 living in Michigan and have had all the same dating issues as you for the past twenty years since my divorce. A month ago I met a 37 year old woman on Christian Philipina's and we have fallen madly in love with each other. My only regret is that I didn't look outside the United states for love sooner. As a man, I'm starting to feel valued again and that makes me want to do even more to make my woman happy. I wish every man could experience love the way God intended for it to be but sadly, you have to go half way around the world to find it if you live in the west. I started saying it back to her, being caught up in the moment. Then I realized, I’ve never laid eyes on this woman. How the hell could I say that I love her and I don’t even know her. I’ll be in the Philippines on the 8th of May. I’m going to meet her in Tacloban. She wanted to get an apartment together. I told her that we should slow things down. I’m going to get a hotel for a month to see if we hit it off in person first. Need to take things slow and protect ourselves.

I Will be 65 in two months and will be retiring next year. When I come in the South East Asia, i will prefer be in serious relationship with ladies 45-50 years old. They will be still active with more experience and we can enjoy the rest of our lives together. We don’t have to worry about having babies. We just enjoy each other company.

Hello Mike and Janet!! Well spoken Mike, Vicky and I have a 12yr age gap and I see no issues as long as there’s a connection. Relationships and marriages take a lot of work and commitment for both parties, regardless of the age differences. I do believe with big age gap differences, it is important to consider your partner’s future needs once you’re no longer there to provide. I heard from a blogger of a man who unexpectedly passed away there in the Philippines and left behind a wife and children, but all of his assets were still with his family in the states. Which left his wife in unfamiliar circumstances, not knowing for sure on what or if she was entitled to anything. You have hit the nail on the head. You have described my relationship perfectly. I will be retiring in bgc in August. I have spent a month traveling with my girlfriend and her family in January and now ready for the move. Though I feel fine now I do have health issues that I need to contend with. Same as you, I didn't want to be stuck in a nursing facility and drain all my savings. Now I can offer a better lifestyle for my girlfriend and I have 24hr care while having fun. I am 65 she is 30

I enjoy the channel Mike and Janet! I am moving to Dumaguete/Valencia area in a couple months. Moving without ever setting foot outside the US. I chatted with several filipina on FilipinaCupid, and have narrowed it down to 1 which we have been talking for over 2 months now. No red flags whatsoever and seemingly a very sweet person. I just turned 57 and she is 26. I am constantly surprised by her maturity, although certainly having been working since she was 14 has certainly contributed to her sense of responsibility. We have set boundaries in our relationship... agreeing to not allow ourselves to think that we can truly love someone until we have met and spent time to get to know one another. Will it work? Who knows... but we are both excited to meet and see how it goes. Today I streamed a movie to her and we watched "The Notebook"... and were able to voice chat as we watched. Was a great "online date If we end up not compatible, I'm sure we will part as friends, and I'll then just enjoy meeting filipina naturally.

Mike, I currently don’t have a girlfriend but was online dating on PinaLove earlier this year. I’ve had gfs in the past with 15 - 30 year gaps. I actually did an analysis of the age of women who approached me on PinaLove in a month. My ideal would be late 30’s early 40’s but there are few in this age category online and they tend to have many kids or they haven’t taken care of themselves. So my take is that the women in Philippines looking for a foreigner for whatever purpose tend to be younger than mid 30’s with the peak in the 20-25 age group. Traveling the Phils since 2014 and I will retire in 18 months, I have watched 1000,s of videos. But what I have seen an learned just in the past couple of years is there are some pretty crazy, and ridiculous men going into the Philippine's. I'm absolutely stunded about the personalities that tour the Phils. Its really odd. But I do know this, most of these guys never make it long term. But hats off to you an your wife. You are so right about how expensive it was dating in the US. I married a younger Filipino woman 22 years ago when I was living paycheck to paycheck. I did not bother her to eat at cheap joints like diners or driving a 10 year old car. I got a large inheritance 2 years ago so it paid off for my wife. She now gets to travel back to Manila and stay in 5 star hotels and can go back home and live like a queen once I am gone. We are planning on trying to retire to PH but not sure if I will make it so keeping the house in FL to see how it goes. Looks like you made the right choice with Janet but will not get easier for her as time goes on. Luckily Asian culture favors older folks. I was surprised to see special lines for folks over 60 at fast food and stores last year while in Cebu. Being 62, I took advantage of them.

Great Topic Mike. Yes I think we have more advantages than they do. That being said, the the biggest disadvantage they have with such a large gap is.... When we check out, they are in there 30s or 40s and in there country, they're almost unemployable. I know a couple Filipinas in that situation. Not all expats pre-plan there ladies financial future after there gone. And the ones that do deserve all that good luvin till the end. What a nice way to depart. That's my plan also.

Your circumstances and expectations are my circumstances and expectations . . . only in Thailand. I was 60 and my girlfriend was 35 when we met. We lived together for 2 years and now we’ve been married for 4 years. Cultural differences were a challenge at first but I’m not at all bothered by not sharing a cultural history. Most important thing with age gap relationships is if both people are happy with it. I have seen a few and do not understand how it works, but I see it working ok for them. My Filipina gf is 10 years younger than me and this is fine for both of us. Our biggest problems are cultural differences and language difficulties. She speaks ok English but is not fluent so we often have mis-communications and do not understand what each other is saying. We are working through these issues. All relationships have issues to work through and I think ours are little different from many others. Another great video Mike and Janet.

Mike Janet, age doesn't matter. It's what's in the heart that's matters (is LOVE!). Here in the states it seems like the feeling of love has become a word, like the, and, day, night, etc. The females love one guy one day they break up and the first day with another guy they use the love word. It's a feeling not just a word, so if it's there age has no limit.
