What we expect as consumers in the future, cars that have paint jobs that have more durability. Battle to the bottom true ceramic protection... More longevity, I have/had ceramic coating on my wife's car and just birds that walk on it have left scratches up and down the car. I'm saying a lot but probably not helping. Things I'm thinking about when it comes to protection

Right on! All the companies out there can advertise anyway they want with their products but as you the detailers must educate or reading the fine line how good those products work between pro level & consumer level that way you recommend each product is right for the customers purchasing or the budget detail cars. I know some of you scared to lose customers in detail business when new products come out available for consumers level to use like spray ceramic wax but remember those companies making their products to sell for 80% consumers out there that don’t care much about detailing their cars, yes those companies they want to selling their products in both consumers and pro level but their most making money is in the consumers side 80% not just only 20% car dealers that buying and using their products

The industry, mainly the well known manufacturers will take the consumer down the convenience route, as they always have. They will try get consumers to avoid the 'more difficult to apply and long cure time products'. Although some manufacturers will in some way develop products, that have the same technology as true ceramics, but have the ease of application of normal spray waxes. Tac systems moonlight is a product that is similar in this regard. But this I think will be further down the road. Graphene is another technology which could become the latest 'ceramic' technolgy buzzward. I think whatever happens with the latest technology the Mothers, Adams etc will always have products which will try to diminish the skill of the detailing industry.

Well jimbo another good Podcast like the old saying goes .you get what you pay for!!! and in our industry from professional to a consumer your going to have the consumers Fuck up their cars like that guy did on his Preius or Tesla or whatever he was driving to where the consumer reaches out the US to fix the problem that's how I see this going.

Hay jimbo, do you know if auto fiber will deliver that subscription to the UK for that price? I love the idea of your detailing inner circle but as a keen hobbyist who only does close friends and family cars I couldn't justify it at the moment, maybe one day if I start charging real prices, half the time I do it for the love of it ha ha, great concept though

Do you guys know who your target market really is? Has any real studies of your customers ever been done? How are they segmented? What do they value? How do they make their decisions? What are their expectations? What do they know and what do they think they know by segment? So many questions. You can bet Megs, Energizer Holdings, etc have a good idea of who their customers are. The high fragmentation of the Detailer industry is a real barrier to having the resources to really understand and grow the market
