I just ran it (balancer) parallel with the monitor. I don't use the monitor to balance. It's way off and slow. I use a 10a heltec balancer. The monitor is only to see what I can't see physically.

For sure. I got a d3400 in mine too. With a isolator hooked to my lithium so I can cut the lithium if I want. I got a 300a alt, but I can support a bit more power too. What you mentioned should be perfect!

I've got a 10a heltec balancer now, and the light always stays on. But back when I had the lil 1.2a one, it would light up when it noticed a difference in the cells. So it's normal.

Since I have an original alternator, I don't demand so much from it. I was only listening to loud music with the vehicle turned off and the power source connected.

@ezequielmurillo266 we have similar setups. I got a taramps smart 5k, and deaf bonce 600.4. I got a xs power agm 120ah and the 64ah headway bank. But, I got a 320a alternator too. I guess it depends on how ya push it. But my setup is just enough to support everything without dropping past 13.8.

@@1ohmwrecker I suppose that with your specifications we have more or less the same capacity, your alternator is really great, You shouldn't have a problem pushing the amps in without reaching the clip light.

@@ezequielmurillo266 if I'm not revving at 1800rmp, it will deff soft clip. But the smart 5 has a limiter to protect itself.

@@1ohmwrecker The problem with most Brazilian amps is that they don't come with a gain knob with the clip-on LED. I had to spend an additional $55 to get the controller with light clip for me SD 🥲

Yeah I top balanced them again and got a heltec balancer. They're between 4-6 mv now tops. I built the bank and let it sit for 6 months and just threw it in lol. But I got this👍

I was gonna buy a limitless 60ah but looking at those headways it’ll save me some money. The only thing is idk how to go about buying them or putting them together. I’ll go nuts and get a 100 ah way more than I will ever need。 also what’s up with the lithium switch that’s cool.

I hear it doesn't matter. And I've heard it will drain the lithium. So I've heard both. So I played it safe and put in a 500a isolator so I choose whether they're hooked together or not. And ran the switch to the isolator.

When my car is off, the agm rests at 12.8v, and my lithium rests at 14.0v but I got a 300a alt charging at 14.8 so it's not good for headway.

​@@1ohmwrecker brad shulke amd seth lowe and many others have proven that lifepo4 even connected to wet lead acid doesnt harm lithium and has very minimum draw on the lithium, a vehicle driven daily, 0 issues. Even tests letting the car sit for 80 hours, lithium didnt drop that much. If your headway is resting at 14v, its over charged to begin with. Nominal resting voltage for headway is around 13.4v, even down to 13.2 is fine. You will do more damage to headway by overcharging them then having a 13.0v resting voltage. As long as the cells are within .5mv of each other, you are fine. They are very durable. Not strong cells, headway is actually the weakest of all lithium for audio, but lifepo4 is fine with agm and even lead acid

Yeah it's fine to run them together. It's when it's not running I need to worry about cuz the agm will draw all the energy from the lithium. But some ppl still even run them in parallel without a isolator. I'm just not taking chances.

Headway uses around stock voltage and should not exceed 14.4 although I know I got a high output alt charging at 14.8🤷‍♂️ it's just gonna reduce the life of the cells. LTO charges at 14.8 which is what I'm getting next. And cmaxx charges at 15+ volts to be healthy. It's more for the extreme bassheads lol. Plus they're kinda dangerous. Then need compression. Just a whole different beast.

Yeah, it'll hold deeper bass notes longer. 1 small lithium bank is about as good as 3 agm batteries or so. And at a fraction of the weight.

@Bigpaul12345678 no, actually I had to search on ebay to find the white plug with the wires coming out. I just de-pinned the wires I didn't need.

Oh hell yes 🤣 they're cheap, but solid amps. The fans are deff one of the cheap areas. Don't run constantly tho. Only when it's up for a while and cooling off. You can buy replacement fans on Amazon for like $20 and swap em out super easy. I will once it warms up here in Ohio.

@josephwilson6863 32 cells. I bought 36 incase any went bad, but almost 2 years later still not one has🤷‍♂️ you'll want a $50 battery box and some buss bars. Get a 5a heltec active balancer and you're good to go!👌

But it's cheaper to buy a super beast from batteryhookup.com and you'll be able to make a bigger bank.

That's a tough spot lol. First of all, a heltec balancer is a really good go to. Like my bank, I need a 4s, 4p balancer. S is series, P is parallel. I don't know it all, but I know headway lithium like this is good for stock electrical. You can run them with agm batteries, but don't have to. I technically overcharge mine. But haven't had a problem in 2 yrs. You may want like a 96ah bank. Charging at stock electrical, you deff gotta have plenty of reserves. Hopefully I answered some questions lol, but if u want to go deeper, msg me on fb or insta and I'll help u best I can. But like I said, I'm not far from a beginner myself lol.

Hey I got a 74AH lev60 pro V2 from jag35 and the ioxus ultra cap to help stabilize the voltage drop after the swap to lithium do I need any kind of on board charger or DC to DC charger or something else or do I just get rid of the lead acid and run the lithium

@@onesikm3 sorry the other message I hit send by accident what I was saying is yes it will charge up to a higher voltage no problem BUT what happens if you do that is you DRASTICALLY reduce the lifespan of the battery and it will start swelling and eventually quit holding a charge and be useless IF it doesn't catch on fire what people aren't understanding is think of it like this we know what happens to lithium if you over charge it I explained it earlier in the message so what do you think is going to happen if you hook it up to a high output alternator and CONSTANTLY over charge it with hundreds of amps of current to me it is a recipe for disaster but there are guys getting away with it for the time being and after receiving the battery it's stated right on the PCB board on top I have the 74AH Lev60 pro V2 that the Max continuous discharge is 180 amps and headway is a steady 200 my HONEST opinion if I could have the money back I would have gotten the headway super beast and some nice bus bars I'm already selling the jag35 battery and buying a SCIB LTO bank and got my alternator already ordered and jag35 customer service was complete garbage I found out that they had lied about the max charging voltage and emailed them and they pretty much told me it was my fault for not knowing what I was doing before ordering the battery even though jehu has videos on here saying 14.8 volts and then tried to charge me 10$ an email to answer my questions about the battery overall experience was terrible so my opinion is don't go through jag35 and if you have a high output alternator don't use the lev60 cells get the super beast

I'm gonna be going to a incriminator audio ix8K soon enough. Gonna stay at 1 ohm. Although for around $400 I could get another smart bass 5k's and have hella power on tap and run each amp to each speaker at .5 ohm. 😳 But I'd rather have plenty with a 8k at 1 ohm tho.
