Join pediatric speech-language pathologist Laura Mize, M.S., CCC-SLP of teachmetotalk.com as she discusses prelinguistic (before language develops) skills all toddlers master before they begin to talk on this one hour audio-video podcast. This show is about skill #4 developing a longer attention span. When a toddler has difficulty attending, we must find ways to help busy kids show down so that they are ready to listen and learn, disengaged kids rev up so that they can listen and learn, and kids who are “stuck” move on so that they can listen and learn. Because these problems express themselves very differently, there’s not a one-size-fits all strategy for helping these diverse groups of toddlers, but there are things you can try until you find a solution. Agree! I have limited TV time for my 18months old greatly and I already see positive things. She is improving a lot with everything. Turn off the TV your kids don't need it

Hi, can you do a video about helping a child move from "scripting" to more functional script? My child has come a long way from being non verbal to now reciting his alphabets and has about 50 words. He is not combining words yet and cannot make k, f, g, T sounds. He is in speech therapy but im not sure how effective it is. He is 2 years old.
