Massages only give you short term relief anyway (like a few hours). You're not missing much. Physical therapists are way more helpful, and cheaper if you get insurance to cover it.

Licensed massage therapist here, very rarely does price mean you’ll be getting a better massage. Price often has to do more about the location, products, and experience rather than the massage itself.

Licensed Therapeutic Massage Therapist in private practice here. I agree 100%. The average in NH for a one hour session (which could involve Swedish, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Reflexology, etc.) is in the $70/80 per hour range. Even if you did find a place that did tandem massage, they seriously got taken. I see nothing more than Swedish massage x2 there. Maybe they include other things like lunch, lol. A fool and his money are soon parted.

I have to say though that I am willing to pay for a professional massage than go to the massage school which is cheaper. I had students that I really liked there, but then they graduated. Eventually, I was unwilling to make the gamble after I had a couple of students that did not understand the concept of light pressure and went into default mode.

A couple of years ago I entered a drawing for 52 weekly massages. They were all 2 hour long 4 handed massages. It was sponsored by a newly opened spa that was trying to drum up business. The five gallon bucket was filled with entries so I didn't think I had any chance of winning. I won. Most people. hate Mondays. I work in a restaurant and have Mondays and Tuesdays off. For an entire year I had a standing appointment every Monday at 3 P.M. for two hours in Heaven. My blood pressure dropped by about 20 points

Depends what you use. Lifetime has a steam sauna, dry sauna, medical spa, wine bar, rock climbing wall, kid's daycare and recreation center, etc. I use the sauna every day, and if I were to go to a spa every day to use the sauna it would cost hundreds of dollars more. If you actually use all these facilities, Lifetime is the clear winner. At least the Lifetime in California has all these facilities, but that's why the California location is so much more expensive... it's like $160 per month, but at other states and locations, I've read it's as cheap as $50!

It will probably be Crossfit Invictus. Membership there is around $200 a month. But you get some of the best coaches in the world to work with you. They also have a lot of top Crossfiters and OOlympic lifters such as Lauren Fisher and Maddy Myers.

Massage is normally a different sensation. They're pressing harder to release tension in the muscles, so the skin isn't triggered as much.

Here where I live (Shanghai), you can get really cheap massage, sometimes as cheap as 7$. I call it instant massage. They massage you and stretch you with your clothes on, 45 minutes and you're done. Perfect for muscle soreness and overall stiffness. I love it.

The uniform black background makes the dead pixels easy to spot because of the contrast . Also, as the camera moves, the pixels stay fixed in position with respect to the video frame. To confirm it was not my monitor, I paused the video and resized the video. The pixels moves only with the video, not remaining stationary on my screen.

I feel like the massages did get better of course because as prices went up, the masseuses were more experienced. Though I do feel like it's kinda a placebo effect (They pay more money so they feel better/more relaxed). They should be given all 3 at different times, not knowing the price.

The same massage therapist can work in a place that cost 300$ and another that cost 112$ but it will still be the same therapist that offer the massage. Most often, you pay more because of the spa. The price isn't only for the massages, it's for the spa experience.

Two years ago my birthday coincided with Mother's Day and I treated my mom, myself and my nephew's wife to a spa massage package. Normally, I hate that kind of stuff, but this place made it super comfortable. They only had two female staff, but as a healthcare professional I was fine with having a man do my feet/legs. A little more weird for the face/upper body. But he relaxed me immediately but saying "wow, you have super leg definition, you must be on your feet a lot at work". And when he got to parts I'm not so happy with, he just kept saying relax, you work hard, you deserve this. Very nice. Mom had been under a lot of stress and she totally fell asleep-they said, let her sleep for awhile. My NIL has some anxiety issues and she said for 30 minutes everything just went away. If you can afford even a lower price massage like these, I recommend you try it.

As a professional Massage Therapist I always encourage client not to compare but rather give into the moment to allow your body to communicate it's present needs. Though Massage Therapy is a science there is also a significant component of art and individuality. Comparison, oftentimes leads to dissatisfaction when in reality what is being compared are polar opposites.
