if you buy an exfoliating mitt a walmart or any store , you can do this. just mabey sit down when you do your legs so you dont fall because you want to exfoliate all over. It kind of feels rough, and you may or may not have dead skin come off depending on how much you shower or what soaps you use. some make you exfoliate little by little and some don't. the key here is yes to do a whole body takes a while and can be a little labor like if you dont ever do it, so i suggest buying the exfoliating mitt and trying it out for yourself before shelling out the money. I could easily become addicted to having this done but i dont think anywhere does this where i live. If they do it might be odd as a guy to go in.

Get yourself some Moroccan black soap (savon beldi) and a kess glove. The soap exfoliates the skin. Use hot water to rinse it off, then scrub with the kess glove. After you get rid of all the dirt/dead skin, you can use a white soap or any soap bar to clean yourself again. Do this every 1-2 weeks.

As a nursing major with a good knowledge of the layers and uses of skin, i have to agree. But, having a good scrub once in a while and occasional exfoliation, i agree with.

I bought this and used it and it ruined my skin. Now my skin i always dry no matter wha moisturizer i use. This thing rubs off the acid mantle that naturally protects your skin. Now my skin is constantly tingling and the dermatologist cant fix it.

So don't get a body scrub?

As a caribbean person, my white friends and boyfriend have always been perplexed by the fact I actually SCRUB in the bath then moisturise liberally. They all seem to take a bath every day but just sit in there, soak, then get out. Maybe their skin cell turnover is different or they don't see their dead skin so don't bother removing it.

Sidra Abbas that layer they are scrubbing away is what helps holds in moisture from lotion. lotion will help restore some moisture but it will have to be done frequently.
